I tried the Guardium Esomeprazole Acid Reflux Tablets (14 pack) after dealing with frequent heartburn and indigestion, and they really helped. I take them before I go out for a few drinks for a day or two before and don’t suffer that sick feeling in the night. It’s worth noting that these don’t give instant relief — they work best when taken daily for a few days — but once they kick in, the results last. Overall: Great for consistent acid control and long-term relief, not a quick fix for sudden heartburn.

I've used these for a while after a colleague suggested them, you don't really notice they're doing anything until you run out then the reflux comes back and you see how well these actually work. Repeat buyer of these as the price is better than in the shops and they are really helpful with someone who really suffers with acid reflux

This is quite a good cure for my seemingly mild acid reflux and heartburn problems, and would recommend. The Guardium OTC capsules are a 14 day program, after which you stop and if there is no relief you are advise to contact your GP. So as far as I understand, this is not meant as a permanent tablet program, which also would also be fairly costly. It comes with a long list of instructions and warnings. The package contains two strips of 7 medium sized brown tablets each. One pill needs to be swallowed once per day for a period of 14 days. Capsules need to be swallowed with a lot of water, but it is fairly tasteless. I bought this after having been long in denial and only having the occasional severe highly reflux episode fowling a lot fo alcohol and fatty food. However, I have mild asthma and a related syndrome is GERD, gastroesophageal reflux disease where stomach acid frequently flows back into esophagus (the tube connecting my mouth and stomach (esophagus). Even though I didn’t notice it and suffer as much from the acid reflux itself, it permanently irritates my oesophagus and throat resulting in constant dry coughs, a sore throat and a feeling of reduced air intake. My GP had already repeatedly warned me to stop drinking coffee, alcohol ect as these act as triggers. But I ignored the suggestions as it was a big ask. However the issues got worse so I decided to actually change my lifestyle as this GERD thing can have quite serious consequences in the mid term. So no more more beloved weekly alcoholic beverages. My high coffee intake has been reduced to one wake-up 'cuppa'. I banned spicy food. No more fizzy drinks or evening snacks. And my bed has been tilted. All quite sad really. To cut a long story short, in order to also stop the influx straight away I ordered this cure. And as said, the Guardium, combined with my much more sober lifestyle eased the symptoms after a few weeks already. Sorry for the long winded rationale, but a common source of acid influx are food and lifestyle choices, so there is something to consider for others as well here - these Guardium tablets will help you dealing with the symptoms but probably not their cause.
