This is an Amazing Cheese Knife!
Since I buy block cheeses, this Zyliss Cheese Knife is indespensible for making sliced cheese (for cheese toast). The blade is made from Japanese steel and is thick enough to be very sturdy . The serrated blade edge is very sharp and the perfect size for making precise cuts. The handle is easily gripped and comfortable. The blade shield makes this purchase a true value for the money.

Exactly what I'm looking for
This Zyliss cheese knife is excellent for both prep and serving. The stainless steel blade cuts cleanly through soft, semi-soft, and firm cheeses, and the non-stick holes really help prevent sticking for smooth, effortless slices. The forked tip is a thoughtful touch that makes serving easy and mess-free. The wheat straw handle feels comfortable and secure in hand, and it’s great to see a sustainable material used without sacrificing durability. Being dishwasher safe is a big plus, and the 5-year guarantee speaks volumes about the quality. Stylish, practical, and very well made—an outstanding addition to any cheese board or kitchen.

Cheese does not stick, which is what a cheese knife is all about
It works extremely well . Just what I’ve been looking for; sharpness, size, weight, value for money. Fits really good.

Quality inferior
Not as good as some cheese slicers

Great cheese knife
Great cheese knife. Works much better on cheese than my chef's knife or paring knife. It cuts easily, and tends not to stick much to the cheese. Probably works well for other tasks too, such as slicing tomato (because the knife edge is wavy), but I've used exclusively for cheese. This is a single bevel knife, which tends to make it sharper, but requires some skill to cut without the knife wandering from the desired direction. The knife edge is unsuitable for home sharpening.

A Cheese Knife for Normal People
A good cheese knife is an important kitchen accessory if you value your sanity. Cutting cheese—hard or soft—with a normal knife is always an exercise in frustration. Either the cheese crushes, or it gets stuck to the blade. Sometimes it does both just to spite you. ➤ The Problem with Most Cheese Knives The problem I find is that a lot of cheese knives are built for people who are, like, into cheese. You know the people. The ones who reflexively correct how you pronounce charcuterie in spite of the fact that not only have they never been to France, nobody in their immediate family has a passport. Or—worse—they have been to France, in which case you can't even come back at them with "yeah, well, you pronounce boutique weird, so..." What I mean by that is they typically have very nice wooden handles, very nice blades, and don't belong in the same zip code as your dishwasher. Which is great if you want to make serving cheese an event that makes your friends roll their eyes. ➤ What I Actually Need All I want out of a cheese knife is the ability to cut some cheddar for my sandwich without losing my mind or a finger. And not having the inconvenience of washing my cheese knife by hand for the privilege. That's exactly what this knife does. It's sharp enough to cut the cheese, the cutouts in the blade do what they're supposed to do and keep the cheese from sticking, and I can throw it in the dishwasher and forget about it. ➤ No Pretension Required It has absolutely no cachet (have your stuffy friend pronounce that one) whatsoever. It has a plastic handle and an inexpensive stainless blade. I would not feel badly about having it moonlight as a box cutter. But then, the way it's priced, I've also had more expensive box cutters. ➤ Final Verdict In short, it does exactly what it says on the tin. It's not going to impress anyone, and it doesn't need to. I'm quite happy with it. Buy it, slice cheese for your sandwiches with it, and take the money you save on a "real" cheese knife and use it for something you enjoy. Recommended.

I bought this knife after buying and using the smaller vegetable knife, I was so delighted with the smaller one that I decided to go for the larger knife. Wow they are both brilliant, very very sharp and very comfortable in my hand. I wish I had found these brilliant knives earlier. They both come with a plastic cover for the blade and that is great because as I have said before they are very sharp. I can't stress enough that they are both excellent for the kitchen and not too expensive. My life has been made much easier thanks to the makers of these knives and of course Amazon. Thank you.
