When you open this book, you'll be taken on a journey full of vibrant colors, real life sounds, and wonderfully life like creature pop-ups! This book is very well done and will keep you and your child enthralled. Happy reading! Great gift idea. Please keep in mind that, depending on a child's age, fears, etc., some of the animal pop-ups could be scary. Give it a quick peruse first.

My grandson recently enjoyed his 5 year-old birthday with a jungle theme. As he was wildly opening his gifts, I was concerned he might "tear into" the beautiful pop-up book and I was prepared to quickly step in to protect the book. But to my surprise, he stopped and started slowly turning the pages. He was in obvious awe of the different, beautiful sounds he heard has he turned to each new page. Each page giving an authentic sound of the various birds, frogs, and other jungle animals. A very beautiful book!

We first purchased the ocean book & loved it. We then bought the others including this title "Jungle". Each child has different favorites, but they are all really good quality & very educational. Our favorites are the ocean, night & safari. If you do have younger one's as others have noted the pop-ups are somewhat easy to pull out so be careful; however, the younger one's really enjoy them as well so I would still share them w/ them. I actually kept the pieces they pull out & you can use them in scrapbooking or arts/crafts. So, while they tear them out of the book at least you can find another use for them. The sound can vary a bit from book to book in the series & sometimes can be loud. This can be good/bad depending on your child. As an adult it is really neat to turn each page & have the sounds of the animals/mammals/species sound out at you (depends on which book in the series you buy - for example in the ocean book our favorite page with sound are the whales). If the adults find it enjoyable then the children must love it!!! These books are a very good find - the quality is excellent & there is so much to learn in them & they are fun! Highly recommend.

I purchased this book for my 4 year old and 2 year old grandchildren, and they love it. The 2 year old can only look at it when an adult is with her to keep her from tearing the pop-up pictures, but it must be pretty sturdy because none of the pages are torn so far, after several months of reading. The sounds are a bonus - very tropical sounding - and the pictures are great.

Pledger's pop-up books with sound are great! This book is colorful, informative, and fun too. Each double page pop-up is depicted on another page with each animal labeled and information about it. Great for a preschooler as well as elementary level kids.

My one year old loves this book. Obviously she is not reading it nor am I reading it to her, but she loves the pop-out pictures and the sounds. This is a book that she can grow into and there are several different versions. Can't go wrong here - one year olds to teens.

Great pictures. Ok sounds - not our favorite in series but still a unique book. Not as much in animal variety as some of the other books. I would check the sample pics & choose this if it matches up with your kid's favorite animals

I bought this book for my 3 year old niece. She loves the book, the animal sounds, and the animals popping out are very exciting for her. The book did scare her a little at first, but once she got used to the noises and pop outs she loved it. This would be her choice story right now before bedtime.

A favorite book. The sounds are realistic and do not last overly long on each 2 page unit. Book is sturdy enough to survive an energetic three year old.

I've bought from this series "Jungle", "Night Time" Maurice Pleger Noisy World - Night Time (Maurice Pledger's Sounds of the Wild) and "Ocean" Maurice Pledger Noisy World - Ocean (Maurice Pledger's Sounds of the Wild) for my son (3 years) and my wife's niece (turning 6). We all liked the "Night Time" the most and "Jungle" comes second. The pop-up elements are really good and the kids like the sounds. They are also educational, but for non-native English speakers hard to read. Before I ordered them, I asked myself why all the books are in Amazon.co.uk twice. Once from Templar Publishing and once from Silver Dolphin. I guess that both books are identically, because even the Silver Dolphin version states that text and design are copyright Templar Company plc. I assume that the Templar edition is aimed for the English market (has an English address in it) and and the Dolphin edition is originally aimed for the USA market (has an address in California in it). The different stated number of pages is probably only because some people have problems counting pages (double pages counted as one page or included title and back cover).
