How it worked for me and saved me money!
I bought my childhood home and totally remodeled it for a rental. The home has been great but I have had to unstop the shower twice over the last two years. A plumber wanted thousands to replace 65 feet of sewer line (and that wouldn't have fixed it). Another plumber wanted $350 minimum to setup and view the sewer line with a camera system. I figure it's never the minimum so I bought this system instead. When we started the repair the shower was holding dirty water and the camera could not see in that water at all. After running a snake down it, the water drained and we cleaned the shower. We tried severl time to put the camera in the shower but we could not get it through the p-trap. The system will work down a 2" line but we could not get it through that p-trap. With this camera system I was able to go through the clean out in the backyard. I was able to inspect the whole sewer line all the way to the alley and there were no issues. So I turned the camera the other direction and went up the line and I was able to view the line up under the house and about 10 feet in found the problem. There was a blob of shampoo, conditioner and hair stopping up the line. We ran the snake again through the p-trap as I watched with the camera up the line outside. Going slowly as the snake came through I was actually able to sit and watch the sludge fall from the 2" line into the 4". I removed the camera and my helper washed the line out. He said we got it and it running good now. I inserted the camera again and told him to run the snake again. And guess what? Over and over we took the snake back and forth about two feet as I watched the sludge continue to fall. We continued this process until we inserted the snake over and over and nothing came out. What was amazing was we could watch it in real time and could actually see that the line was clean. We should not have trouble for years. So the camera image is excellent. So far I have not figured out about the zooming in and out but I did not need it. It could have been me though not the system. I could see the image even in the bright sun but it was much better when I put a towel over my head and the screen. We could not get it past the 2" p-trap but again that might come with experience. The light adjustment on the camera worked great. I noticed someone said treat it like a Harbor Freight tool. Well I disagree. While you can't throw it, or run over it with your car, the camera is on a stiff, sturdy cable. The camera itself seems to be reasonably sturdy and is definitely waterproof. The case is also well made and had tight fitting holes for all the equipment. I Cleaned the cable, camera and control knobs off with disinfectant wipes to replace back into case. I would definitely recommend the system to anyone. I repaired my problem and have the ease of mind knowing the rest of my line is in good shape without spending thousands. And the camera is ready for its next job. After using this several times over the last year and a half yesterday my neighbor called and ask to borrow it. He had a swarm of bees that had setup a hive under his workshop. While moving they hive got angry and attacked the two mowers, they had to be removed. He had a bee keeper coming to remove the hive but they needed to know how wide and deep they needed to cut out the floor. They used this camera to feed under the shed and therefore could tell exactly where the hive was. This allowed the floor to be cut out at exactly the right places. The Camera worked great for this purpose and the floor was removed and the bees taken to another location for honey farming. (See photo of honey comb after floor cut out.) After this I can think of many other uses for this camera system. In walls, under houses, in attics and in rock piles for snakes. This is a great system.

GREAT SEWER CAMERA, BUT INSTRUCTIONS SUCK
Overall, I was very pleased with this sewer camera. It was easy to operate, did a great job of letting me see inside my sewer, take pictures and help me identify and resolve my problem. It had two shortcoming, that I think would be fairly easy to fix. First, the instruction manual is very poorly written with hard to discern photos, and did not help me understand the operation of the unit. Thankfully, the unit is logical and intuitive, and was fairly easy to figure out. Second, it would be very helpful to have cable lengths written on the cable, so you can see where you are in the sewer. Other than those two suggestions, it is a great system and I would highly recommend it. I can't comment on reliability, but it seems well built, so I expect it to last a long time.

Good Camera to view any sewer issues.
Works great. Have an older home and using the camera found out the drains are terracotta so there were tree roots growing between the cracks. The camera also gives better idea on how the sewer system is located. One side note: if you have maple trees near your house get rid of them ASAP. These trees send roots everywhere! Once the root problem is being addressed (have to do it several time a year), the sewer system is working again. This camera is reasonably priced and easy to use. The battery is long lasting, and picture quality is very good and bright. Be careful with the camera line to avoid breaking. This camera can also be used to look into wall spaces when necessary. Again, just be careful of the cable to avoid any sharp bends.

Great package deal for camera and locator๐๐
Quality packaging, quality products described like advertised. Clear viewing from camera with nice rolling centering device that comes with the camera to run it down a 4โ line making 90 degree bends with no trouble. Video/photo function is great for capturing defects in the line. Battery life lasts as as stated. Case is very nice with locking keys. Plug and play easy to use for even the inexperienced homeowner. The locater works great but needs 6-AA batteries.

Not a reliable company or product
I own a drain cleaning business and decided to go with this camera due to the reviews and camera quality. I've owned it for maybe 60 days and used it a total of 4-5 times. I was using it on a job just normal use and it stopped working mid job. I asked the seller for a refund under the 1-year warranty they offer and they told me no because it was used they cannot re sell the broken camera. So now I am stuck with a broken camera that's two months old. You are better off getting a different camera with a company that actually stands behind the product and warranty. If you want something reliable I'd go with a different brand not this company.

Adequate for the task, pays for itself!
Used this camera to inspect a 100 year old cast iron and terracotta mainline, 90' from the house to the city sewer. This drain had a history of clogs and backups into the basement, and I was paying a plumber $250 every Fall for a camera inspection. Yesterday I used this camera to validate my DIY flushing procedure and it showed the line to be clear. Now I can have peace of mind through the torrential winter rains here in the PacNW. Pros: Hardware is good quality for the price, gets the job done. Self contained system in a hard carry case is convenient. Cons: Resolution and picture quality is merely adequate, wish it were better. The orange camera protector ball is made of foam and is simply slip fit onto the camera. I have concerns about it getting popped off, so I ordered a hard plastic protector that uses retaining screws, ASIN B0C3H92RTS All in all this system works well enough for the purpose and will pay for itself in a short time versus paying a plumber for a camera inspection. I plan to use it to inspect ductwork and inside some walls as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend or family member.
