Ganeed French Country Chandeliers, 6 Lights Rustic Vintage Metal Pendant Light Fixture Hanging Light for Farmhouse, Kitchen Island, Dining Room, Living Room, Antique Bronze E12 Base

This is just a beautiful addition to my dinning room. It replaces a bowl type light fixture that was 24 years old. Putting this fixture together was not too much of a challenge, but as mentioned in another review, the twisting of the wires and adding a nut could be a hassle. The hardest part is actually hanging the light. It really does require two people; one to hold the fixture and the other to wire it in the box and mount it to the box. I use a light stand to hold the fixture while working on wiring the box. The next issue I had was the chain. Much too long at 35" (shy of 1 meter). I only needed about 18" (about 1/2 meter). I shorten the chain but did not cut the remainder off. I will do that later. Until then, I bunched the chain up in the provided sock and it does not look good, but works. After a few days I will adjust the sock and cut the remainder of the chain so it looks nice. Once the chain has bee cut, there will be too much sock remaining. I plan on putting in a twist as I move up the sock to make it appear shorter and not bunched up. By the way, there are cheaper (price wise) fixtures out there, but I chose this one and yet I don't know why. LOL

Completely beautiful 😍 I had to buy if course a dimmer switch and I cannot wait to get the other bulbs that flicker for this... but its beautiful 😍 Completely and it is easy to install. Also..YOU CAN ADJUSTAST the beautiful chain ⛓️ light is beautiful durability is strong and built to last size is...perfect...

The first delivery came, and the box had been crushed by the carrier. The center portion of the fixture was bent. On the positive side we sent the fixture back and they replaced it with an undamaged fixture in about three days. The return was free. The fixture was well made, and the decor was what we expected. Assembly and installation were easy enough for people that are handy. Each of the eight arms required being bolted in place. The 16 lamp conductors and the two supply line conductors all had to be wire nutted together in the base of the fixture. This could be a little tedious for people who have never done this before, but it is not too difficult. The chain had to be installed and the supply line conductor fed through the chain links to the ceiling plate. This was simple enough but turned out to be the most aggravating part. The chain wanted to slip down the cord while installing the fixture. There was likely a trick that I did not know about to prevent this. The hardware fitted well in the metal box in the ceiling. Everything required for the install was included.

I've been looking for a beautiful affordable chandelier and I found this one. The reviews were a bit mixed up regarding the color of the chandelier. I saw couple of photos from other reviews and on their photos the chandelier color looks like a distressed antique brass, no bronze or copper and in the photo on Amazon also looks antique brass. Sadly that's not what I received. The color was very bronze with a lot of black, way too much black for my taste. I decided to keep it because I really like the chandelier, it's well made and I love the French farm house style. I decided to paint it myself and it turn out exactly as I wanted. It was pretty easy to paint. I hire someone to assemble it as I have no knowledge and it look way too complicated for me. Besides the color I 100% recommend this chandelier it's beautiful and excatly what I was looking for regarding the size, style and price

Easy installation. Great fixture. Out of curiosity I read the (relatively few) negative reviews before buying. Uhhhh. Well, no idea what happened to others, of course, but we sure had NO problems assembling and installing the fixture. NONE. Zero. If you have basic tools and can google “how to install a light fixture,” you might be ok. Heh. Srsly, a great affordable fixture that does NOT “look plastic” at all. Nope. BTW, your “dimming capability will be related to your dimmer switch’s capability.” You can also google that. Or ask Rufus the AI here about it. Obligatory Disclaimer as to entire review: YMMV! :-)

I’m a very handy person and I found it annoying to assemble this. What bothers me the most, was that each arm needed to be bolted in then a little black wire and a little white wire comes out of each arm this black wire and white wire needs to come through little holes then you need to take all the white wires and twist them up Then twist them to the white main wire and it’s only about 2 inches long, which is very hard to do and then jam it in a little plastic cap then do the same for the little black wires so imagine holding eight little black wires together and trying to wind them around a main black wire that is only an inch long and then jam them into a cap and hope it works! OK so I did the assembly tomorrow my Handiman‘s coming over and honestly I don’t know if it’s even gonna light up when he wires it. It all depends on how well I wound those 16 little wires up eight of them white eight of them black it’s really quite an Electrician‘s job Which I wouldn’t mind doing, but there isn’t much lead on the main white wire in black wire so you don’t have much to wrap it up on and I don’t like the idea of playing with wires it kind of reminds me of changing an outlet in the wall. I don’t think when you buy something on Amazon, you should have to do electrical assembly I think it’s a bit dangerous so I won’t even know if this thing‘s gonna light up until tomorrow maybe I’ll update my review. Update, it’s been hung and it looks lovely.

The light is excellent but needs a qualified electrician to fit it.The final securing nut at the bottom is nearly impossible to fit.

Veramente molto bello, montato fa il suo effetto ed è comunque molto leggero. Il montaggio è "a prova di stupido" ci sono addirittura i cavi elettrici pre spellati, il morsetto con indicato dove vanno fase, neutro e terra....e in più una piccola chiave inglese per serrare i dadi che tengono i 6 bracci del lampadario. Montato in 5 minuti, proprio facile e bello!

It came in parts. It was very easy to assemble. Tools needed: philips screw driver, small spanner, or small nut drivers, electrical wire stripper/cutter/twister and a ladder, electrical tape .... It would take probably 10-15 minutes to assemble and another 15 minutes to install. If you do not have the correct tools and you have to improvise it will obviously take much longer based on the number of tools you do not have. We did it without special tools and to assemble, it took us 15 minutes. [Very easy] We did not have a ladder, nor spanner, nor wire cutter/twisters, nor nut drivers or spanners and are very short ladies, and not very strong, so it took us 2 hours, and that includes multiple rests for our short arms etc. However, I must admit that if we had a ladder of any kind it would have been installed within 1/2 hour. Things to note: *The copper ground wire goes in the top black piece that attaches to the ceiling. It is not very clear in the video instructions. *Prior to screwing that flat round piece to the ceiling, remember to screw the downward facing screws with the washer and nuts first and then screw that flat piece to the electrical box in the ceiling. It is not clear in the video. Frankly, the installing instructions were not clear. O remember, that after you have installed it, you will need to move the arms around until it is balanced. It was fun for my daughter and I. A fun memory of improvisation and sharing that will last years as we re-tell our story :)

Happy with the chandelier however the assembly different because Chinese vs Canadian standards. The electrician that installed commented that the ceiling fixture hardware does not meet Canadian standards however it is still safe. Otherwise looks great and happy with the purchase.
