Unbelievable light, so bright. Rechargeable. magnetic strip it sits on....can be taken on and off to turn off easily. Can be put onto sensor setting if you wish. Can't recommend highly enough....gives off a super light . Fantastic value for money If children scares of the dark....perfect as they can sleep with it near them, and no safety issues. Camping wld be great. Reading light perfect. A must have.....unreal that you can end up paying a fortune for a bright light....and you get 2 of these in a pack and can be used anywhere

Very practical, good for dark areas with poor lighting.

There are so many plus points about this light that I'll begin with the shortcomings to add balance. They are greatly superior to similar shaped competition. I’ve only deleted one star as the price keeps going up! - The light goes on for an average 15 seconds and if you want it on longer you need to move to light it up again. - The timing cannot be adjusted, other than switching it to always on – which also means it can double as a torch if you haven't fixed it to the wall or something – see below. - It's not suitable for outdoors. - the motion sensor sensitivity varies between individual samples (I've purchased more than a dozen so can compare). Only very occasionally is there one that doesn’t switch off properly. Im not sure how to contact the seller now but if there’s a way to replace a single one (rather than returning a whole order of four) that would be nice. Now the plus points, and relative, as I've tried several brands on motion-sensitive lights. # You don't need to buy batteries or keep it plugged in to the mains: a big saving both in time, hassle and money. # It gives a more powerful light than most devices. I use one to light my quite long hallway automatically when coming in or if I go to the bathroom during the night. # It comes complete with a USB cable and charges fairly quickly. # It is very light weight. Smaller, more compact, and easier to position than other devices I've purchased. # It's small attractive shape makes it easy to place anywhere, even on a small ledge or with a bit of blu-tac. It comes with a variety of easy fixing strips if you want to make it more permanent, including magnetic and velcro for easy removal and charging. # It has a wide and long distance sensitivity (the instruction leaflet says 120 degree angle and ten feet wide at ten feet distance, which seems about right from my own experience so far). # Importantly for my own use, it has a well-tuned sensor. I have several discarded, more expensive and bulkier devices that come on when completely unnecessary if the area isn't full of bright sunlight or artificial light. This one just comes on when it's needed. # I’ve bought two of a slightly different but similar light from another company and found it wasn’t so good (not so bright and didn’t last so long before needing re-charging). Compared to that, I’ve repeatedly re-ordered these ones and been very pleased. # I only once had cause to contact them and their response/service was outstanding. There's a full technical spec in the enclosed leaflet which I won't quote at length but it is quite impressive. This is an example of beautiful, efficient technology & design that also looks good. Bit smaller than I expected but works well. Easy to fit with two metal bases so you can move it around

I bought these for security of footing when making middle of the night wanderings. Unfortunately, while they are a brilliant light and very bright, only one works as it should. When in auto mode, it should shut off after 15 seconds unless it detects motion, which them means it stays on longer. As i said, one works perfectly. The other light refuses to go off after the allotted time. When placed in a room with no movement, it will not go off. Since i bought it for it's motion sensing properties, what i have is not usable for me. I now need to go through the hassle of having to return them and spend more time looking for something else. I purchased a different set a few weeks previously so may end up going to them now. Shame really, as they would have been perfect for what i intended. Have returned as they would not provide email address, when asked, to sort out. Poor customer service. Update 1/10/19 They reached out, wanting to rectify the delay in responding. They sent me a replacement "goodwill gesture" light. As i said, the light itself is brilliant, very bright and lights up a large area well. Unfortunately, this replacement light is even worse than the first problem in that the sensor only works if you tap on it physically(will not sense movement at all). But, as it works fine in the "on" position, it will be used as a cupboard light/portable emergency light if needed.

I love this to avoid having to switch on a light as I walk through a dark room. Nice and bright. Easily recharged. Lasts a long while.

I ordered all 3 brands/types and these are my initial thoughts. This one is the lightest in weight and gives off the most light. It is also the only one of the 3 to have an on and off switch as well as auto. It is also rechargeable. For these reasons, this one is my preferred choice. It is tinier than I thought (although the measurements are clearly given) and you have the choice of sticking on wall/surface, or there is a one screw or nail hole so you dont have to mess up your wall with sticky stuff. If you use the strip, it has more chance of staying up than the Mr Beams or Xiaomi as the latter are both rather weighty. The sensor sensitivity on this and Mr Beams is about the same I would say. The Xiaomi has the advantage of a swivel head and sensor so you can be much more specific in your positioning. Unfortunately your only option is sticky, not screws, so I think it is best placed on a flat surface or on the floor, as it will eventually fall off the wall! The xiaomi is the only one with a choice of 2 degrees of lightness. I have all 3 working in different places and they all do their job....up to a point. The main sticking point is the sensitivity of the sensor. The xiaomi seems to cover the widest area. This little stick light is in my entrance (where I have no electricity) and comes on immediately I open the door, from a range of about 4 or 5 feet. It goes off after about 15 seconds, which is ok if just passing through. But if I stop to take off muddy shoes, I must be sitting below the sensor because it goes dark and I have to wave my arm about to get the sensor on again. I will try repositioning, but the same happens with the Mr Beams; that one is used in the bathroom and if you sit on the loo longer than 20 seconds or so the light goes out. So, these are great if you are moving and passing through areas, but they have a tendency to switch off with no movement or if you are just outside the sensor catchment area. If you know you want a light on more than a few seconds then I think it may be worth considering one of the switch or push lights. I have one in a cupboard and it is great. But I do like the sensor lights for the passage ways. I will update after I have used them for longer, but so far I am pleased with all of them (and none of them have their brand names stupidly written on them either: who wants that!)
