Good product
Picture quality is a lot better than what I expected although sound quality isn't as great. Remote control isn't too responsive either. Found myself having to get up quite a few times and directly point it at the tv despite batteries being brand new. Set up was fairly simple. Overall great product and good value for money.

Great little television
We were looking for a small, smart TV to use in our small conservatory. We picked Toshiba because it’s a make we have used before and have been pleased with . This tv arrived promptly, was easy to set up and we have been delighted with both the picture and sound quality. It takes dvds as well, so does everything we need except make the coffee ! We are very pleased with this tv and- based on our experience so far- would recommend.

A curate’s egg, good in parts.
This supports both terrestrial and satellite broadcasts, so I first tried the latter. The first time installation is really a factory reset, so it will remove any existing settings such as WiFi. You can chose two satellites to scan, but once done there doesn’t appear to be any means to add later without repeating the first time installation. You are given a choice of configuration, but my first choice of multiple receivers off the same dish picked up nothing so I picked the single satellite option. This picked up a lot of channels, but not all of them, including Talking Pictures, which is on my other satellite box. Plus, Freesat is so confusing with the ITV channels all called the same. Somehow I rarely need to know the Channel Islands weather. I then decided to swap over to the aerial and I had to go through the first time installation, because rescanning did not work even though you could see the channels being picked up. At last I can see all my channels, the picture quality is excellent and if I ever want to view Freesat, then a stand alone box will probably work better than the tv. WiFi connection was easy and works well, although it is only a few feet away from the router. You can view YouTube either by casting from your phone or tablet or directly from the set. You can also record by plugging in a pen drive or external hard drive, but you can only view them on the Toshiba. They have a proprietary format, but you can view videos copied from elsewhere. Pause live tv is another option if you have something to save the videos. The DVD player works as far as I can tell after trying one shop bought film and a home video. Initially the remote control refused to work, but then it did after choosing the DVD on the source menu. I am not even sure if this fixed it, but it looks like a software issue. As long as the DVD works when I want it to then this will be sufficient. As expected for such a thin tv, the sound isn’t great, sounding boxy. You can put it through something better or use headphones with Bluetooth. There are standard screw fittings for a wall mounting.

Greta TV value for money and clear picture
This was bought as a Christmas present for a teens bedroom and they love it as they can watch TV have you tube and other good channels they watch a nice size and the bonus of being able to play DVDs on a little fiddly getting it set up but that was due to poor internet connection. The TV arrived before expected date and we are pleased with the quality.

So impressed that we’ve now bought the 32” version too!
Really happy with the TV. Ordered for my daughter’s bedroom. Super easy to fix to the stand, set up and to the internet too. No problems at all. Great to have a DVD with it. Good quality for the price and we have since ordered it in the 32” size for our bedroom too as we were so impressed with it. Loving our new Toshiba TV/DVD combis!

It works well and fulfils what I wanted
As a bedroom TV this is very much what I wanted, SMART, with a DVD player, good quality picture and sound. The only gripe I have is that the standby light flashes at 3am sometimes for a few minutes and has woken me. I think that this is the digital elements updating. I have covered the light with bluetak so it is no longer a problem.

Ok but falls short of being good in a few areas.
Good picture but the remote is not intuitive. Pause and play are reversed from every other remote I have and it is so easy to hit the wrong button in poor lighting. The menu too is very complicated and requires a lot of searching to find the section you need to complete the task. The major down for me though is the USB playpack. I have lots of films collected over the years and stored on my PC. I tranfer these to view on my TV's via a USB stick. The Toshiba plays these okay but if you have to switch off the TV to do something else when you return to continue watching the film this TV doesn't store the point where you left off! You tediously have to scroll throgh the film from the start to find the point you left off from. With only an 8 x scroll speed it can take some time to find where you left off. Every other smart TV I have owned has had this facility why hasn't this TV got it? So not so smartToshiba and only a 3 star rating because of that major fault. Is there a software update in the pipeline to remedy this Toshiba?

Branded item for great price.
Bought one last year for a relative, was told it was very good. So, when my TV gave up the ghost recently I bought myself one. Arrived very quickly, super easy to put the stand on & set up. Plus the price has gone down. Bonus! Would definitely recommend as a good all round TV.

TV arrived from UK with UK socket (not really a problem, can be changed), & the DVD was not AUS region. Amazon would pay an amount of freight, but nowhere near what it would cost to return to UK. Would have been $200 out of pocket. Will make the TV work for us, but learnt something out of it, will not get caught again. Maybe more info up front would be helpful.
