Can you transfer stored content from a regular Switch console to the Switch Lite?

Another option, is to list your Switch Lite as the main console. This will allow you to play your Switch Lite offline, but your regular Switch will have to connect to the internet everytime you want to play a game on it. But that’ll keep your content on both if you want to. Personally, that’s my plan, make my Lite the one I take with me places, then my regular a stationary console.

To answer your question. Yes. It connects to wifi internet connection. Nintendo have a 12 months online play for $20. It allows u to play games online and play classic NES games that are available in the store nes app. Very low price, easy and simple.

Will it play fortnite and for no additional monthly cost?

fortnite is completely free without Nintendo membership. so far any game that is free to play and that is not Nintendo branded like (tetris 99) is free to play without Nintendo online membership.

What kind of memory card does this use? Micro sd or its own like the Ps vita?

According to the reveal videos I've seen, it will be micro sd just like the old switch.
