Genuine Dyson DC14 Soleplate Assembly #908655-08

I discovered I needed a new soleplate for my Dyson vacuum when I noticed a huge scratch in the hardwood floor where I had been vacuuming. The little plastic wheels in the soleplate had gradually accumulated grime and dirt, to the point that one of them was irretrievably jammed and had even become flattened in its jammed state. Eventually a piece of loose grit got trapped in the crevice next to it and ... eegh. I went with this reseller for the soleplate as opposed to ordering directly from Dyson, not only because the price as competitive, but because they offered a more straightforward promise about delivery timeline. The Dyson company store would no doubt have sold me the same quality product, but they had a very fuzzy "7-10 business days" type of promise that wasn't as appealing to the usual "pretty much right away" standard abided even by sellers who are not fulfilled directly by Amazon. I did receive the soleplate in short time, and it was as advertised, seeming to be a high quality OEM part. I installed it easily and have been vacuuming with greater confidence ever since.

Our 15 year old Dyson DC14 Animal has held up really well over the years. The soleplate has taken a lot of abuse & finally broke apart. This replacement fit perfectly & the quality appears to be great. It snapped on in seconds & now my vac is back!

Perfect fit for my old dyson animal. My old one was so old, the little wheels on the bottom were so worn down and didn't even spin. This works great.

Fit right into my DC14. Was worried because mine has a weird sub model and is pinkish red and not the purple and grey. But it fits it just fine.

Perfect, should have bought this replacement part a long time ago. Grey color fidn’t match but no big deal, it’s in the bottom of the vacuum and my vacuum is over ten years old and going strong!

I didn’t realize how busted up my old soleplate was until I went to replace the brush bar. A word of caution......if you are replacing the brush bar at the same time, do not buy anything but a genuine Dyson one. I had a “genuine replacement” brush bar, and had to modify it quite a bit to get the soleplate to fit. The soleplate is exactly the same as the original one, so I would guess if the brush bar was a Dyson, things would snap into place easily. Anyway, I am glad I got the new soleplate !
