Husqvarna 16" Chain Saw
I bought this saw to compliment the larger 460 Husqvarn Rancher that I purchased several years ago. The Rancher has proven itself to be reliable and useful helping me with 7 heavily wooded achers. I needed a smaller (lighter) saw for regular upkeep on the property. I selected this saw because of my past experiences with Husqvarna products and the saws lightweight. Having already owned Husqvarna saws, I knew the startup proceedure. I unboxed the saw, added the 2.6 ox of 2-cycle oil (provided with the saw) to 1gallon of gasoline, and filled the tank on the saw. I also filled the bar lube resevoir (not provided so you'll need to purcahse some). Follow the startup proceedure and the saw starts EVERY time -no issues. For those who have not had a Husqvarna, the startup is to push the chain brake forward, Pull the chock out and push it up to the highest position, pump the primer ball 6 times, place the saw on the ground, slip your right foot through the handle (to hold the saw firmly to the ground), place your left hand on the top of the handle (to steady the saw when you pull the start cord), pull the rope-start with your right hand until the saw "burbs" or acts like it wants to start (about 2 or 3 pulls), push the chock down to the next "notch", and give the start cord a pull. The saw will start every time. Pull the chain brake to the rear and Let the saw idle for about 15 seconds, then give the thottle a good "blip", run it up to speed for about 30 seconds to warm the saw up, and you are ready to cut. The brand new saw - out of the box - started on the first pull after following the above proceedure. I really like the light weight and very sharp 16" blade. I also like that the air filter element is easy to access and clean. I'd also recommend investing in a Husqvarna carry case with integral chain bar cover.

Stopped working with minimal use.
Absolutely trash. I bought this because of the brand. Used it a little the first year. Cut down a few small bushes and it seemed to work good. Iโve just started it back up today about 11 months since I got it. Started up fine. Was in the process of cutting down a few trees. On the first one the chain slipped. Each time I got the chain back on it would not spin. Engine would start but chain would not spin. Put a new chain had the same issue. Customer service asked me to read the manual, then said that I did all the basic troubleshooting so next steps is to take it to a service center. Useless, thanks Joanna. Decided to replace the bar and chain. This moved well when testing before putting back together. After putting back together gear wonโt spin. Itโs outside my return window so Iโm stuck. Will have to pay to get it repaired but will likely buy a different model since I need this asap. I would never trust this brand again. Poor quality and poor customer service.

Great Product for the money!
This product has exceeded my expectations! I'm loving everything about this tool: its ease of use, cutting precision, chain tension, durability, size, ease of handling, and battery life.

Starts easily and cuts well. NO RETURNS on chainsaws through amazon!
Tends to die after each cut. Doesn't idle well. Probably just needs a carb tune, but was expecting more from husqvarna. Overall, a good saw but be warned NO RETURNS on chainsaws through amazon!

This little beast will EAT!
At first I gave this one star due mostly to Amazon's practice of splitting my purchase across two invoice numbers. The deal is that the manufacturer has a promotion that if you buy a Husqvarna saw and 3 cans of pre-mix fuel on the same reciept / invoice, and it's for homeowner use only (not commercial) then they'll extend the warranty by an additional 3 years. I purchased this saw plus 3 cans of pre-mix husqvarna fuel in the same cart. Amazon split it between 2 invoices because Amazon doesn't sell the fuel I had to pick one from a 3rd party. This was Amazon's excuse why they couldn't add it to the same invoice. Well, I took a PDF of my cart after puchase showing both items, I then took a PDF of each invoice, added all 3 PDFs into a single PDF, then once the saw got here registered it with Husqvarna via their registration page. It appears that their system allowed for that. Now, why the 5 stars then, is the saw actually that good? Yes. This little thing is powerful! I have an EGO 16in saw (don't get me started, it doesn't work after a few years) and a Ryobi 40v 20" saw (very powerful, but not as powerful as this Husky). This little thing chewed through the wet oak that I needed to cut up like it was nothing. The ego would quit (battery flashing) after a few seconds into the cut. The Ryobi did fine, but the battery would eventually overheat after cutting through a few logs to the point I had to cool it off before I could recharge it. And this thing cost about the same as a new battery for the Ryobi! I am very happy with my purchase. I even bought the Husqvarna power box to keep it more protected.

Great bang for the buck out of this little chainsaw
This is an exceptional home chainsaw. It has been easy to start each time and we have used to fell a few small trees. I have a Stihl for larger jobs, but I can honestly say that this outperformed by expectations and was much easier to start.

Couldn't be happier!
This is a great saw! I have previously owned a entry level, low priced saw from a different manufacturer which eventually died. I did some research with some things in mind: need to stay under $300 and need to be able to handle yard work plus some occasional firewood cutting.I have about 2 hours on this saw and so far it exceeds my expectations. The first thing I noticed is it seems like it is loosely assembled when you first pick it up but I soon realized it has springs built in. I'm here to say they do exactly what they are designed to do, there is very little vibration felt in hand considering this is a chain saw. It starts by the 3rd pull, has a flat side opposite the gas cap to prevent rolling when filling, cuts like a dream and the exhaust is minimal. One thing to add, a word to the wise- it really does make a difference to use non ethanol gasoline (marine grade) in small engines. This is key to healthy fuel systems in these engines.
