I think in this case, you need to adjust the position of the gate bracket and limit switch B. Also please increase the stall force and decrease the soft stop period. May I ask if your Gate Opener is set on the Pull to Open or the Push to Open mode? If it is a Pull to Open Gate, first release the clutch and manually set the gate at the opening position. The arm should be fully retracted at the moment. Fix the Gate Bracket. Then engage the clutch, use the remote control to close the gate, then adjust the limit switch. If the gate is closed too tight, the limit switch should be adjusted inward. If it is a half-way close, the limit switch should be adjusted outward. The Push to Open Gate is just the opposite. Please first release the clutch using the key, then manually set the gate at the closing position, so the arm should be retracted to the upmost. Please fix the Gate Bracket. Then use the key to engage the clutch, use the remote control to the open the door, then adjust the limited switch. If the door is opened beyond where it should be, then the longer limit switch should be adjusted inward a little bit. If it is a half-way open, the limit switch should be adjusted outward. Please also disconnect the circuit board from the power source, turn the Potentiometer A clockwise to the maximum to increase the stall force, then turn the Potentiometer C counterclockwise to the minimum to decrease the soft stop period. This was a large undertaking between myself and a friend who is very good at engineering and math. We both are very experienced in general home DIY project work.
