Jackson is cruel at times but is starting to get feelings for who he still believes is Harley and he doesn't know what to do about them except take out his misery on Hannah/Harley because there is no way he's going back down that road. He wants her broken fully and humiliated. He keeps throwing obstacles that would have pissed Harley off in the past but they keep backfiring with Hannah and he just doesn't understand. So he keeps playing on the passion they have and the dominance he has over her. And the ending on this book...it had me in a tizzy more than the first one! Go start this series if you haven't.
