A fine fuse, that meets all relevant safety standards.
This test is for the 13amp Schneider fuses. You receive 4 in a packet. Schneider are a very well known make in the electrical sector, so we will just check that they are safe and meet BS1362. (The British Standard for fuses). These fuses are sold as being compliant with BS1362 and are marked accordingly. First test is length. They should be 25.4mm long, +0.8/-0.4mm. As can be seen from the Photo, at 25.431mm, they are well within specification. Next we will check to see that the ends are 'substantially flat'. As you can see in the Photo, these fuses are entirely flat, with just a small dimple where the internal fuse wire has been soldered into place. Lastly, we will break one open to perform an internal check. As can be seen in the Photo, they are filled with a containment substrate, in this case a quartz silicate sand. This will contain the 'explosion' of an overload and is a good choice. The fuse wire in these fuses is correctly sized for 13amps. On a load test it failed at 17amps, well within the range that I was expecting. The wire is correctly soldered to the centre of each end cap. In many non-compliant fuses, you will find that the fuse wire is folded over and the end cap simply pushed on. In conclusion, and unsurprisingly, I'm pleased to report that these Schneider fuses do meet all requirements for BS1362 and are safe for their intended use. These are not the cheapest fuses, but you can be assured that you are getting 'proper', well manufactured fuses that will perform as expected. I hope you found this review helpful.

Good Fuses From A Good Brand
Good fuses. From a decent brand - Schneider - rather than YET ANOTHER unknown Chinese brand on Amazon stealing jobs from the west. So, yes, all good with this product and this brand.

Bought based on manufacturers reputation
Bought based on manufacturers reputation for making reliable BSS compliant fuses. It's worth paying more for quality rather than buying bulk numbers of poor non compliant fuses that may pose a fire risk or only give a small percentage that are functional which seems to be the case with other unknown brands here.
