I've had all kinds of experiences with umbrellas, and this one wins. I'd recently purchased (and promptly returned) a WindPro umbrella that turned into a portable birdbath after five steps in mild winds. When I received this umbrella I knew from the moment I picked it up that it was solid and strong. It took a little more effort to open than other umbrellas do, but the force required to lock it out keeps it from inverting in strong winds. I can't say I've had it in hurricane winds yet, but the storms it's weathered thus far leave me confident that it'll stand up to a gale. The blunt tips are also quite nice, since I tend to walk with the family and don't want to put any eyes out. This is a great umbrella, bot functionally and stylistically!

Well made

I bought two of these umbrellas--I liked the different colors, wanted a backup, and thought the umbrellas would last a lifetime. The second umbrella that I bought broke after only two uses. The third time I tried to use it, in a downpour, it failed to fully open. It no longer latches at the top when I try to open it. I cannot see any difference between this newer umbrella and the one I purchased previously. I did not mistreat the umbrella and had barely used it prior to its failure to open. Prior to this I only purchased inexpensive, compact umbrellas. I have had rare failures with these umbrellas and only after years of repeated use. I purchased the Blunt band because I wanted an umbrella that wouldn't turn inside out in the wind and I also wanted a larger size than a compact umbrella provides. It does appear to be well built but after only two uses is inoperable. I am very disappointed and cannot recommend this umbrella.

The best umbrella i have found. Very well constructed and sturdy. Good value for money. Closes and opens early. Size is perfect and not too heavy.

Not the most attractive design - chunky and plasticky - but so far has proven rugged and effective.

Make me feel safe when there is heavy rain!

It was a gift for my son and he loved it. He does lots of walking and it has a strap it can be carried when not in use.

Wirklich ein massiver und guter Regenschirm. Hatte den vor Jahren in der Hand und habe mir den Namen gemerkt. Jetzt habe ich mir selber einen zugelegt.

Erstaunlich, dass man so etwas einfaches wie einen Schirm tatsächlich noch verbessern kann!!! Der blunt umbrella besticht nicht nur durch sein formschönes Äußere, sondern überzeugt auf voller Breite. Genervt von Knirps-Schirmen, die sich bei etwas mehr Wind umstülpen oder die "Flügel" hängen lassen, habe ich mich für den nur geringfügig teureren blunt entschieden und spiele bereits mit dem Gedanken, mir auch den Mini zu zulegen. Der Schirm liegt sehr schön in der Hand und bleibt auch bei Orkanstärke und Starkregen stabil und ruhig. Kein lästiges Tropfen von überstehenden Streben-Enden mehr. Das Material ist ruck zuck auch wieder trocken, einmal kräftig ausschütteln reicht und man kann ihn getrost in die Ecke stellen ohne dass sich Wasserpfützen bilden. Sicherlich ist er etwas schwerer als kleine Billigschirme, lässt sich aber auch bei längeren Wanderungen ohne Ermüdungserscheinungen halten. Das Öffnen muss manuell geschehen und ist etwas stramm, dafür aber eben super-stabil. Der Schirm kommt in einer professionellen, gut schützenden Kartonage-Verpackung So macht auch das größte Schmuddelwetter direkt Spaß! Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

This is the Kiwi's at their best, there is a problem of wind and rain in Wellington so lets redesign a traditional format that can cope. This Blunt umbrella is as good as it gets, I'll be using it tonight it is windy and raining, hopefully no Mary Poppins moments for me:-)

Amazing product. Durable thing. Will last forever

強風でも壊れない傘が欲しくて購入しましたが、やはりそんな物は存在しないと判りました。水色でとても気にいってましたが残念です。
