Great little kid does an excellent job for out hog nose

Was easy to assemble and fits perfectly in my geckos viv. Good value for money as it lasts ages and produces the correct amount of light.

Item boxing was damaged when arrived but luckily item was ok. Easy to install.

This does the job. The only issue was that the parcel had taken a pretty nasty dent and so I was worried the light wouldn’t work. The 4 stars are because the fixture connection is a little loose. You put the tube in and twist but you may have to wiggle it to get it to come on at first.Update: A big plus is that all our power cut off and then when it was restored the light came straight back on. Mercury vapour bulbs tend to flicker and take considerable time to come back on.

Really pleased and cheaper than what I would have had to pay in a shop! Lincoln Reptiles wanted £69 for exactly the same item.

I installed this kit into all my tanks; it's quick to install and the bulb only needs replaced yearly.Ever since I installed the light in my geckos' tanks, Their scales are now brighter and silkier. I cannot recommend this enough!

Unfortunately this lamp kit just didn’t work, we installed it and followed all of the instructions even watched the video on YouTube but once set up the light stayed on for 1 hour then turned off. When trying to turn it back on after following troubleshooting tips it would flash then go back off. Bought another lamp thinking it might be that but it still didn’t work so bought another lamp kit from someone else (the same lamp set up as this) and that one worked absolutely fine. So will now have to return this and I’ve wasted money buying another lamp. Did contact seller originally but didn’t get a reply and looking back now the lamp kit packaging wasn’t sealed like my working one was so maybe it was a return already? Unsure but disappointed in this product.

I use this for my baby ball python’s 50 gallon plastic tub terrarium. Works as intended. The hardest part was getting the bulb into the housing unit. I thought I had turned the bulb enough and thought it didn’t work at first.My advice is don’t be afraid to put some effort into turning the bulb once it’s in the socket. You might feel a slight click at first but then REALLY turn it and it should lock into place. It works. I also don’t like how easily the power cord can fall out of the housing unit if you move it but otherwise it’s fine. I got it on a 12/12 timer. No issues so far but from what I hear, you should get a tool to measure the uv strength and replace the bulb every 6-12 months to ensure it’s emitting the proper amount of uv.

Funktioniert allerdings ist der Stecker nicht super fest an dem Lampenrahmen. Bin schon zwei mal versehentlich leicht gegen das Kabel gekommen und musste es neu einstecken, was etwas aufwendig war da es in einem Lampenkäfig ist
