Proven Winners - Echinacea LAKOTA 'Santa Fe' (Coneflower) Perennial, pink-orange flowers, 1 - Size Container, PWFPECLKSF

I ordered two coneflower plants - the Green Twister and Ruby Star. Upon arrival, they were really well packaged. When I opened the boxes, the plants were in great condition. Soil was still moist. Leaves were green. Both had buds. I planted them about 10 days ago and both are green, growing and have more buds. Because I have hard clay soil, I dug holes twice the width and depth of each plant and amended the soil with peat moss and some coir. In my area, the big box stores and garden centers do sell Coneflowers but they are almost all the same color (pinkish-purple). Very little variety. I am very happy with my Green Twister and Ruby Star.

For the discerning gardener. Over the last few years I have been very disappointed when buying live plants from online nurseries, big box stores, and tv shopping network. So I was a little hesitant to buy some off of Amazon. However I am pleasantly surprised and impressed with these plants. For $20 it is a very large plant with many buds ready to bloom. The care in which the plants were shipped was amazing. The plants came to me in great condition and are beautiful and full. Would highly recommend.

I couldn’t wait to receive this potted plant - I was so happy to find it available in this form rather than the seeds! I’m in Northern NJ and wanted only perennials for my garden and those that would NOT be devoured by the many deer in my wooded area townhouse community. I’m constantly trying to keep my plants disease and insect free and didn’t want to deal with the deer too (they have plenty other shrubs and plants that are tasty)! This arrived in good condition and was growing in leaps and bounds for the first week I had it outside my garage door, waiting for it to get acclimated to its new surroundings. However, as soon as I moved it to the flower bed where I intended to keep it (next to other brightly colored flowers that I can see from inside my library/study and just outside my front door where it could be admired for its unique flowers), it’s been eaten up 95%! I now have an inch or two of green stems, and not the 12” high plant I received. I’m not knocking this particular plant or color variety, only the fact that it’s supposed to be deer resistant and was the ONLY reason I bought it - I wanted the flowers, not just a few inches of green stems every year! I hope this review helps someone - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend buying it, but only if you don’t have an issue with deer (or rabbits, as I’m pretty sure it’s appealing to them also). I honestly can’t comment on the actual flowers or colors since, sadly, I’ll never have the chance to see them.

Beautiful addition to the garden

I was worried about buying a live plant online so thought I would give it a try with just one plant. This echinacea arrived beautifully packaged, soil still moist, strong, healthy and much bigger than expected! It already has flowers buds and should bloom soon. Height is about 18 inches. I couldn't have picked a better specimen myself! I will definitely purchase more!
