Are these ok for a van roof

Absolutely not they hardly stick on the wall for a few days

what are the dimensions of the clips?

they are either 30,40 or 50mm internal length, it depends on which size they are

Would these stick well to walls?

Used these to stick some fairly heavy cables to the wall. After 2 years about 1 in 10 had fallen off. More than suitable.

will this damage wall paint when I peel it off?

I stuck about 20 of these down and peeled them off a year and a half later. Two of them took the paint with them, the rest did not. If your paintwork is fragile and/or you’re very bothered about paint coming off then avoid, but generally I’d say it won’t be a problem.
