I don’t believe it does. You need a usb plug also.

What is the amp rating of the cable going directly into the pump & is this safe enough to use for pet fountains?

I got this to replace a pump burned out by a power surge... for my Catit water fountain. Works great...don't know about the amp rating. I have it plugged in to a regular outlet.

I have no idea what fountain that is, but the pump works great on my water fountain. Mine is the type that has to pump the water up into a primary water tray, then flows down into the main bowl. Has worked flawlessly for about 6 months.

Does it hold a charge or does it have to be continually plugged in to your power back

It needs to be continually plugged in. And if I’m honest, I wouldn’t recommend this brand unless they’ve upgraded in the last 6 months or so. I ordered these and the water pressure is very lack luster.
