These adapters work as designed. I use them on a 200w power supply for my laptop and have no issues.

they wear out before you think they should
being a one-piece design without a cable in the middle like other adapters, one would think these would be more durable one adapter died within two years with no visible signs of wear (when it failed, it would power but not charge); I'm now using the second one which is both powering and charging still ordering two more because at least they work until they don't

These work for the HP T740
These work for the HP T740 - I tried some from a different brand, and those triggered the power protection circuit within the T740. These worked perfectly.

Not charging my Omen 17
I have 3rd party made 330W charger for Omen 17. Only thing is that the 3rd party charger has 7.5mm end. I thought this adapter will convert plug to 4.5mm so that it'll fit my Omen 17. The power brick looks OEM, and has the same voltage and watt. It even has HP Omen symbol. When I plug in, the battery charges for about 5 seconds, and then charging turn off. I tired both in the package, but the same. Not working with Omen 17 CK.

Worked as Expected; Economical Option to Use Older 7.4mm Power Supply with New Laptop. Allowed my HP Z-Book G3 to use the power supply/charger of older HP Z-Book G2.

Did not work on my Dell 7.4mm charger to charge my XPS 13 4.5mm... but...
Did not work on my Dell 7.4mm charger to charge my XPS 13 4.5mm... but it did power it on after a BIOS warning. Once I get booted the dead battery never went past 1% for hours. This is fine if you plan to stay plugged in, but it will not charge your battery. Dell laptops require OEM Dell branded chargers without any adapters on them. Bummer, but it did the trick for my immediate needs, but it will not work for a permanent solution.
