Simple hook up works great

Overall this is a great product allowing me to connect apple car play on my EONON head unit. Every now and then I have to reconnect my phone during use but other than that the product has performed as advertised.

Once I plugged in the connector and downloaded the application from the link provided, my head unit crashed and won’t turn back on. And to top it off the company won’t pay to fix or refund me. Complete garbage don’t buy!

Si deseas tener tu telefono en la pantalla del auto, es una buena opcion. Sin embargo no la mas economica del mercado.

Worked great for my unit. Worked great with iOS 13.2 and my head unit only has android 7.2.

It works for the most part. There are quirks tho like the DVR having issues with auto recording when the engine starts, the SD card saying full when it's supposed to loop, the time changes and after starting the engine up again it takes 10-15 min to sync. Also the Apple Carplay attachment stopped working and I don't have the time to redo it. So there's no Carplay working as of now. My daughter just links it via Bluetooth.

It should be built in the head unit. Besides that - it’s working great so far. Great customer service.

Followed instructions to the dot. Program doesn't show up on display and needs to be launched through apkinstaller. Tried all the usb ports and cables but Android auto doesn't load on display. Stick on this screen. Tried different settings and even the other app autokit. With the latter the phone detects and launches Android auto but nothing loads on screen. Eplay nothing happens and in phone says unable to transfer files even after debugging and trying various usb settings. Disappointed because the head unit was great otherwise but without Android auto this is a deal breaker. Update: had to factory reset and then install eplay again. Now everything works great.

Bought one of these for my Eonon head unit. Seems simple to use however their instructions on what to download and what you’re supposed to do are very unclear. The manual itself is written in poor English. When I connect my iPhone, I have to exit the CarPlay app immediately, then wait 20 seconds for it to connect, and sometimes it just won’t connect at all. The CarPlay is extremely slow the moment you start using an app like Spotify or maps. And of course trying to contact them is pointless. Their customer service isn’t bad, but there is a huge language barrier and they just keep instructing me to reset the head unit and things like that.

So Android auto does work. The only fault is in the head unit and it's programming. While factory car stereos are more integrated, this is not. Its an app that runs over top of the existing radio. So if you hit the google button on Android auto, you expect the volume to go down (so system can hear you not the radio), this system does not. You have to manually lower volumes, then hit the button to work. Also the microphone on the assistant does not work either, as it tried to pickup from your phone. Integration is lacking, and it's treated like an add on to eonon. That being said, for a cheap price you get Android auto and navigation on your unit, which is not bad. Just don't expect a super slick experience. Charging worked on my android phone, just not fast.

Read instructions carefully. Product works but can be difficult to set up and customer service isn’t really much help. The hotter it gets in the car, the more unstable it becomes. Overpriced for the use I got from it.
