GDSTIME 240mm Router Fan Cooler with L/M/H Speed Control DC 5V USB Powered

Bought these to set Xbox series S on to help with cooling. Quality built, cools well, and was a nice oversized fit when standing console on end. Was very quiet at first but began to make noise after several years of use. Still going strong just a bit of noise now. High quality great solution!

My project was a 160 watt output 2 meter linear amplifier. The amp has a decent sized heat sink, but for constant operation in a contest environment or 50% duty cycle digital mode that heatsink gets mighty hot. The amp would eventually burn itself up if some form of additional cooling wasn't utilized. In my application the tall standoff "FEET" placed the fans too far above the heatsink. I removed the standoffs and stuck the foam pads directly to the plastic fan guards. I could place the fan either blowing into the heatsink and out the ends in both directions or upside down and sucking air into the heat sink and out the top. I chose into the heatsink for my first attempt, that vents the air out the rear and front of my equipment racks directly not towards gear above. The rack fans are louder than these amp fans. I needed to figure out where I was getting an empty USB port with power... The rack has a USB hub in the rear but that is an older hub that doesn't provide external 5v. Found a powered USB in my computer UPS front panel. If I shopped longer I might have located a plug in 120v or a set of 12v fans... But for now this setup is doing a very good job by removing the standoffs. I am very pleased.

Their is only 1 dislike! Its the noise on the high setting, but medium and low are fine on the fan speeds! Even on high, You eventually get used to the noise! Its not that bad! The REALLY GOOD ABOUT IT; It keeps both my routers cool and working at the correct running temperature! I would recommend it! 5 star rating!

This was something that has really helped keep my computer cool, that is in my office. I mounted this externally on the computer case, into holes that where just in the right place. It blows into the case and is easy to use and set. Controls are simple and easy to use. For me the noise level is not a problem. A good little fan set up at a good price.

I have this fan sitting under an AX-50 TP Link router. The fan does a great job of moving air and keeping the router cool. I have noticed that with nothing else on in the room and the fan on the highest setting, you can hear a humming sound. It isn't loud but it is noticeable/distracting. When watching TV or playing Xbox the fan cannot be heard

I was measuring 107 F aiming my thermometer down inside my nighthawk WiFi router (outside was cooler though) but I didn't care for this much heat on the circuit board/components. So this fan was acquired along with a few short pieces of weatherstripping from the hardware store. With the fan on the lowest setting, the internal temp was now measuring 84 F which was completely acceptable. At this setting the fan noise (in a quiet room) could not be heard 2' away. (I also used a few pieces of noise dampening padding under the feet of the fan assembly.) GOOD FAN, easy setup & great results all the way around.

I bought these fans to cool down my cable modem and router. They're powered by a USB A cable and come with an extension cable with switch for low / medium / high speeds. There are four feet, and come with 4 felt pads to attach to those feet. At high speed, the fans were extremely loud. I'm accustomed to loud fan noise as I have a PC gaming machine - this was over the top loud. I tried the switch to reduce the speed. At both medium and low speed, the fan noise was more tolerable, but the lower speeds introduced a loud rattle. So, if I were to keep this unit, my choice was extremely loud fan noise, or extremely annoying rattle. I've dealt with rattles before - it's usually low quality ball bearings or fan blades out of balance - both signs of cheap quality components. The fixes for both are tedious. I opted to return the unit and look for a higher quality alternative. Perhaps this was a one-off, so if you decide to purchase, I hope you have better luck than I did.

Run this on two Pi-Stars to keep them cool. One fan has a slight rattle on it but figured at little time running might get the kinks out of it. I run it on medium speed and it brought down the CPU temps about 10° lower. These are some what quiet. About the same as a computer fan but do the job I wanted them for. The three speeds work very well. Would buy it again.

Works well cooling my av receiver, made a big difference. Only wish the fans were quieter. still recommend for the price
