King Oscar Kipper Snacks are the Best! Have bought many different brands of these and always come back to King Oscar. They seem to be a better quality herring and you can taste it in their products. You might find other brands a little cheaper but those don’t compare with King Oscar. I think many will agree they are the best!

The lightly smoked version is amazing! The flavor is fantastic and very similar to smoked salmon, with a firm texture and the good portion size. It’s super filling and a great source of protein. I buy these in bulk to pack for work lunches, they are delicious served over rice with pickled veggies or on Triscuit crackers, and I can already think of a bunch of other meal ideas for them.

August 2026: top marks for deliicous wholesome Herring fillets with tastefully smoked accent. I've been buying Crown Prince Kippered Snacks from Nova Scotia but decided to try this one packed in Poland after my usual wasn't available or reasonably priced. Glad i did
