It’s the best coconut oil I think that’s made

The coconut smell is there, but it's not overwhelming or pungent, which is why I'm a big fan of this brand. It's great for my skin (I slather it all over my legs and elbows), and I recently used it as a hair mask overnight. My hair was so soft and shiny afterwards!

I discovered this oil several years ago. It’s so much healthier than canola or vegetable oil. When it cooks it solidifies and when heated it melts very quickly. When I fry squash or other foods, very little oil is on the food and there’s no big grease stain on the towel I place the food on. Since it’s a natural product, it’s great to use on dry skin (heels & elbows) and works great in the bedroom as a natural lubricant that doesn’t bead up or get sticky or dry out.

Healthy cooking oil.

I was surprised I would like this--being a refined product and I rarely choose that. What surprised us the most is that the texture isn't like most (at least unrefined) coconut oils that we have had before. The texture is very much like biting into creamy butter. It is just incredibly smooth. Having said that, if you want the coconut flavor, you will be disappointed. I really enjoy the coconut flavor, and use this to not only cook and bake with, but also to make toothpaste and other health/beauty items. I have a disabled child whose diet I try to add coconut oil to--but perhaps with this texture and lack of coconut taste, he will eat a biteful daily. I have used another brand from Amazon that I can also find in my local store. It has often (not always--which is more frustrating because there isn't consistency) tasted like a soapy after taste. This item does not have that. It arrived exactly when expected.
