Speedball 3471 Super Value Block Printing Starter Kit – Includes Ink, Brayer, Lino Handle and Cutters, Speedy-Carve

This is a great kit! This was my first time doing linocut printmaking and now if my favorite! It was so easy to carve I was surprised on how quick it was. The ink is water soluble so it would probably not hold up on fabric but since it’s not an oil based ink it makes clean up a breeze. I’m an avid printmaker when it comes to other forms of printmaking and this is the best Brayer I’ve ever used. There is only one piece of linoleum but you can easily order more of just the linoleum. Definitely worth the money.

I have been making prints for the last year and my brayer and carving tool are holding up excellently well. Only complaint is that the blades are prone to rust, could just be the humid place I live in. The rubber blocks are amazing for beginners and easy to work with while you get a feel for the tools.

This was my first experiencing with block printing and this kit is great. I decided to make some wrapping paper for my niece's unicorn themed birthday party and I'm so pleased with how it turned out! I drew the design directly onto the block with pencil and then carved it out (the block is soft but not too soft, sort of like a rubber eraser) and I just rolled the ink directly onto a large glass dinner plate. It helps to watch a quick how-to video on YouTube just to see how you want to cut it ( i.e. do you want to cut out the negative space or leave it?) and also to see how much ink to use/how much to roll it to get the right consistency to roll it onto your finished stamp. I surely recommend this for beginners as I am one and now I can't wait to create more!

This was a great starter kit. The Speedy Carve and carving tools were easy to use. The ink is nice but my bottle came poorly sealed at the top. (See top left corner in photo). It exploded at the seal when I tried to use it and I lost some ink. I was able to save most of it by transferring it to a travel sized shampoo bottle.

It's been a while sense I did any linocuts and this was just what I needed. It's been months and the items still hold up, everything is easy and safe to use, cleaning has been no issue, the size is great for the price and the kit has everything a beginner needs.

Great starter set. Love how easy it is to wash. Barely even need soap, just water! I bought extra pads to carve. They are thin enough you can also cut them to different sizes.

Easy to use, not missing any pieces. A fun craft to do. Made this corvid skull stamp in less than an hour! The materials are high quality and definitely won’t break anytime soon. The size of the lino is about the size of my hand, these prints were made using maybe a third to a fourth of the block, so I have room for other ones!

My grdtr asked for this gift after takibg a class. She was happy with it.

Ontem quando recebi fiquei confusa na montagem, e pensei que estava com defeito E solicitei a devolução, mas consegui entender e está ok . Não quero devolver, vou ficar com o kit .

Zu dem Produkt selber kann ich noch nicht wirklich etwas sagen, aber die Verpackung die ich erhalten habe ist defekt und sieht aus, als wäre sie bereits einmal gewaltsam geöffnet worden! Immerhin ist es vollständig.

I bought this together with Essdee SoftCut Printmaking and Carving Blocks (200 x 150 x 3.0 mm Pack of 2) to make carving a bit easier. The tools are great quality and you can get a lot out of the little 37ml of ink supplied! Changing the cutters can get a bit fiddly, but overall, I'm really happy with this starter pack.
