Love this EDC knife.
This knife gets lots of good reviews and I can see why. Ever since I got my ZT 0566 last year, I have been in love with flipper knives. I love my ZT 0566 blackwash, but I also really love the Sinkevich design of this knife. I love the looks of the titanium one because it's sleek and clean. I've seen it referred to as a "gentlemen's folder" more than once and I can see why. It's a beautiful knife. It came very sharp and the KVT bearing system makes the blade deployment very smooth. I think the size of the knife is just about perfect. I have medium sized hands and I can grip it very comfortably. It's also very lightweight at only 2.9 ounces. I don't even notice it in my pocket. When I pick up my ZT 0566 now, it feels so large and chunky in the hand compared to this one. The 0566 weighs around 5.4 oz as well, so you can also feel the difference in weight when holding them. All in all, this is a great knife and you get a decent sized blade (3.25") in a relatively small package. The only thing I don't like about this knife is the factory pocket clip. There's nothing wrong with it and it works just fine, but it's not a deep carry pocket clip, so it will leave about half an inch of your knife exposed from your pocket. I don't like that and prefer deep carry pocket clips, so I ordered an aftermarket one from a company called MXG Gear and it works great. If you've been on the fence about this one, I definitely recommend it.

awesome knife, one big problem
ok one quick caveat to the 5 star rating. as this knife came out of the box, it deserved 2 stars. it seemed well built, light weight, perfect centering and came with one of the best factory edges I've ever seen I'm talking straight razor. But the detent ball on this thing is about twice the size it needs to be. would not open with the flipper with less than about 15 lbs of force. And before everyone jumps down my throat saying I'm pressing the lock bar, let me tell you i wasn't. I'm not a knife newb, i know how a flipper is operated I've had several. open and close this blade about 5 times and your finger would be throbbing. if you get a knife that has this problem, heres the 5 minute fix standing between you and one of the most awesome EDC blades out there. take it apart. look at the hole on the blade where the detent ball drops in. place the blade flat on the table, and take a drill bit slightly larger than the detent hole (i think i used 3/16s). drill into the hole as if you were going to widen it, press down hard and drill slow for just a couple seconds. all this will do is take the 90 degree lip of the detent hole and slightly round and shave it down a bit to maybe 50-60 degrees, only about 1/32 of an inch on the corner of the lip. put it back together. it still has enough grab on the blade that it will not open by accident, if its closed i cannot shake the blade out no matter what. but oh man what a difference. you touch the flipper and the ball bearings make that thing fly open so fast. i think its even a little faster than my domino and that is saying a lot. lf you get one that is like this out of the box then lucky you, if not don't cry about it, take five minutes to get the detent squared away and you have one of the best knives I've ever seen. its materials and fit and finish are excellent, pretty much a flipper small sebenza for $165 how can you not love it? buy it now you will love it

High quality knife
Beautiful knife. Action is perfectly smooth with a positive frame lockup. Thin overall and easy to carry.

No remorse. Daily EDC art
I haven’t written any reviews yet. So this being my first I would like to be detailed in my analysis. My first ever knife was a skyline that I had bought at Walmart. Recently I have got the knife life bug and been on a buying spree. So far I’ve purchased the benchmade 940. While I loved the shape of the knife the green handle and weight/size I realized I only wanted a knife with a flipper. Then I bought a paramilitary 3 that was a blue purple in s110v. That knife was wonderful in every was except the color I wish was a hunter green, no flipper and a wide knife. Next I got a 452cf zero tolerance. And while Nick Shabazz seemed to really like it. It was way to big for edc. My hands are medium size however. I bought a 0450 cf next and even changed the black cf handle on it for mine so it was the silver blade on the cf handle and the black blade on the steel handle. Oddly enough I didn’t like how light it felt. Your mileage may vary but to me it didn’t feel as assuring. So I sent it back. Like Nick Shabazz from YouTube and others have said this knife is a gem. I wish it had a spyderco ffg blade in S110V with either a wharncliffe, reverse tanto, or sheepsfoot blade. And I’d like one with green g10. But the size of handle and blade are great for me. The flipper is the best I’ve felt. I like the fact it’s unassisted but still flys open like it was without the twist you get from speedsafe or an auto. I appreciate the minimal branding (I used a dry sponge to erase most of the ZT branding on the clip.) S35V has been a very good steel for me, but on cedrics channel his results differed. I’ve tried nano oil and blue lube on the bearings after a cleaning and I prefer blue lube. Also if you notice the green spacers that’s because I borrowed them from the black cf 0450. This knife is worth a buy (Pictures are of a Boker Urban Trapper- wood handle and a Kershaw Hotwire- black handle)

ZT doesn't play! Great blade!
My first ZT - won't be my last. I have several Kershaw, and always kind of hesitated at the price jump to ZT... but I know why now. The fit and finish of Kershaw are fine, but ZT takes it a step further for real. Frame lock is perfect. Hand feel is perfect. It's the right weight for an EDC. It deploys easily. Great gentleman carry.

Great knife, poor QC
**Update: I ordered a second 0450. It also came totally f!@#ed. The lockup was a joke, failing immediately and taking a chunk of my thumb with it. The detent was also useless - when I would close the knife the blade would bounce back up out of the frame without catching. Now down to 1 star. *** This is a three-star review, but not a three-star knife. It's a five-star knife: beautifully designed blade, first-rate materials. I'm knocking two stars off because of poor quality control. My 0450 came with the detent problem that other reviewers have noted; despite lubrication and obsessive openings/closings in the hopes that the action would break in, it still takes an ungodly amount of pressure to activate the flipper. What's worse is that it was almost impossible to close one-handed...when I wouls release the lock, the blade would fall fractionally till it would catch hard on the detent pin. I couldn't move the blade past the detent with one finger. Bringing my thumb around I could apply enough pressure to to shut the blade, but that's just plain dangerous. Notably, this is not my first flipper with framelock. I know better than to squeeze the lockbar while trying to deploy or close.

A new favorite, simply a great knife
I have been carrying this one for about a week now and I think I’m liking it more and more each day … no buyers remorse here! - Knife came razor sharp with perfect centering and fast, effortless deployment - This knife does not have a thumb stud which doesn’t really bother me since I’ve never been a big fan of them personally - though, if it had a thumb stud I would most likely just ignore it like I do on most knives so I think the lack of having one is just sort of alienating the large majority of knife lovers who do - that aside, using slight pressure on the index opener should glide this baby open with fluid like precision - the blade is held in place with a detention ball and uses a ball and bearing system to pivot the blade - I have heard that the break in on these detention balls have varied from review to review but from what I can tell the one on my knife is about right, though it is still a little tight for my liking on one hand closing -some reviews have stated that the detent ball was faulty or extremely stiff to the point that they feel stinging pain in their index finger when trying to open the knife with the index opener- if this is the case I would say that there is something defective with the knife … medium to normal pressure should be enough to deploy the blade with ease - I love the practical, no nonsense vibes it has with the look of the stonewashed titanium and elegant Sinkevich designed blade - This is a great alternative to people who desire a more medium to small EDC flipper (4” or less) that isn’t so “tactically flashy” and large like most knife in the ZT line - so far I have not been disappointed - time will tell how it lasts but from what I can tell it will be in my rotation for a while to come

Maybe the Best EDC for the Money
I have looked over this knife for a while and the reviews seemed mostly positive. So I decided to go ahead and order it. Packaging was adequate and the knife was bubble wrapped inside the box. Fit and finish were very good and the blade was seated about perfectly in the middle. The blade grind is fantastic and near perfect symmetrical. The knife is fairly lightweight and the pocket clip is adequate although it seems to be stainless steel. The deployment is very fast and smooth. As others have mentioned, getting the blade past the bearing detent for deployment is a little stiff. It does cause a little bit of discomfort the first few times your deploy the blade but if you just do one firm press then it hasn't been an issue for me. I actually do like that it is tighter closed so it won't accidentally open in my pocket or if someone else is handling it. I think it would have been nice to have a thumbstud as an option to deploy the blade but the look is overall cleaner without it and it is one less thing to catch on your clothes or pocket. Another issue I had read about before buying seemed to only come from one reviewer and it regarding the liner lock. The issue I read was that once deployed, if held firmly that the liner lock would squeeze all the way to the opposite handle causing the lock to just about fail. I have not experienced this and feel like that reviewer might have got a defective knife. The blade locks up nice and tight and coming from older titanium frame lock knives, I really appreciate the steel plate in the frame lock so that the hardened steel of the blade doesn't have to lock on the softer titanium in the frame. This would lead to faster wear on the titanium which could compromise the lock at some point. Also the steel plate is removable which mean it is potentially replaceable which would make lockup nice and tight again if needed. The Spyderco Sage 2 is a great knife and has possibly the best ergonomics I've ever felt on a knife. It fit the hand and felt like just an extension of the hand. The 0450 isn't quite that same feel but it is excellent for my medium sized hands. The flipper comes around and acts as a perfect finger guard along with the shape of the handle. I have little worry of my hand being somehow able to slip past the guard and cut myself, It seems improbable if not impossible. The jimping on the back of the blade is fairly aggressive. It is sharp enough to add real grip but not enough to catch your pants or cut your finger. I would have loved to have a crowned spine on the blade to make this more of gentlemens knife but having the flat spine leaves less chance of your finger slipping. What I really like about this knife as an edc blade is the slender and slim profile of the knife that makes it very easy to pocket. It just doesn't take up that much room in your pocket and yet offers a long and very functional blade. The pocket clip is a bit plain and tacked on. I immediately ordered a titanium deep pocket carry clip to replace it and wish it came with one to begin with. Still the pocket clip works and doesn't kill your pockets too much. The blade is a little aggressive in design and I only mean that as in people might be slightly scared seeing it. It has an unsharpened swedge and has a very long and sharp point which makes it look more "tactical." However it has a good sweeping and functional belly for such a thin knife. This is my first knife using S35VN but have used everything from 440c to 154CM to VG-10 to D2 to S30V. S30V is one of the best blade steels I have used in terms of corrosion resistance, edge retention, and ease of sharpening. It is just a fantastic steel for pocket knives and I don't think many people would dispute that. S35VN is nearly the same but supposed to be tougher and easier to grind and work on with the addition of the niobium to the formula. So far I have no reason to doubt that is the case. Either way these steels were made for knives and it shows. If I had to make one complaint it would just be a minor design issue. On the frame lock side of the knife the two screws that hold the red standoffs just terminate into nothing. You simply see the flat bottom of the screws on the handle opposed to knives that use screws on both sides of the handles. This is only aesthetics and has likely no effect on function but considering how elegant and stylish this knife is, it would have looked even nicer with screw heads on both sides. It is such a minor non-issue but something I noticed. I have owned and handled many knives and I have to say this is close to my idea of what a perfect pocket knife would be. What I want from my pocket knife is solid quality construction, titanium handles, RIL or a liner lock of some kind, high quality but easy to maintain blade steel, functional blade grind and shape, good ergonomics, and small and light profile for edc. The Zero Tolerance 0450 meets all those requirements for me and even adds a few new ones. The price is absolutely reasonable for the quality construction, design, and materials on the knife and that makes this very easy to recommend.

Made in USA hin oder her... Kommen wir zurück zu der Faszination. Die wird bleiben. Du kannst dich jetzt mit einem China Messer vorerst zufrieden geben, aber wir wissen beide, dass du schon bald wieder hier auf die Fotos starren wirst. Also, spar die günstigeren Ersatzmesser!
