We purchased this crib in 2010 for the birth of our second son. We already had the same crib for our oldest son and it had lasted almost 2 years so we were confident in our purchase. Now, 4 1/2 years after we purchased our first DaVinci Kalani crib, our 2 year old is still using his and it has held up beautifully to his playing, jumping and climbing. The one we bought over 4 years ago is now being used by our 1 year old son and is in amazing shape considering it's been used nearly nonstop since 2008. There are dings and scratches due to the soft wood, but at this price range it's expected and easily repaired. And none are distinct enough unless you really pay attention to the details. We didn't have any issues with assembly, although the directions were missing. We found them online at the manufacturers website so it wasn't a concern. In fact, both cribs were assembled by me, while in my 3rd trimester. The only issue we have had is the bolts that hold the mattress support tend to wear after repetitive use. We replaced them after a quick trip to the hardware store (as easy as bringing one in and saying "I need 4 of these") and that was after 2 years of use. I would definitely recommend this crib to new parents. It has a beautiful, classy look, is easy to assemble, and will give you your money's worth. We have 3 wild, busy boys and both of our Kalani's are investments that lasted far longer than we anticipated. Congratulations to all in the market to buy!

Very pleased with this crib! We got it for our little one and the height is perfect and looks high quality. People complement our crib when they see it and are shocked when we say we for it off Amazon. Unfortunately our little kiddo did wear down the stain with biting the edges of the crib but that’s kinda inevitable if you have a teething little one. We are planning on getting potentially another crib for our next kiddo since this one converts to a toddler bed and can grow with your child.

We absolutely love this convertible crib! It’s not only stylish and well-designed but incredibly functional. The setup was simple, and the quality is top-notch – sturdy, with smooth edges and a beautiful finish that matches our nursery perfectly. What truly makes this crib stand out is its versatility. As our baby grows, we can easily convert it from a crib to a toddler bed, and eventually into a full-size bed. This means we won’t need to buy multiple pieces of furniture as our child gets older – a huge money-saver in the long run! We have purchased this for 2 children now and love it!!

Once assembled this crib is absolutely gorgeous. Looks much more elegant, if you can use that word for a crib, and substantial than the $1000 crib my friend purchased at Pottery Barn. It looks more like a piece of furniture thank a crib. Just beautiful. You do need to be very detail oriented to follow the very specific instructions you must pay attention to to put this together. I am 68 years old and a lightweight but was able to put this together without my husband's help except for the metal grating that holds the mattress. One of the screw holes on the long side of the crib did not align properly with the pieces it needed to be attached to and I ended stripping the screw. The manufacturer has a very easy to use website where I was able to list the pieces I needed replaced, a new long long panel and new screw. I had the replacements in just days. Once the crib was put together the only downside is that the wood is soft and easy to scratch. This isn't much of a problem for me as I purchased this for when the grandchildren come to visit. I don't know if this could hold up to the abuse it would get from full time use by one or more children.

This crib gets pretty constant excellent ratings for safety. That's why I bought it. All of the reviews place this crib at, or near the top with respect to safety. So I won't really touch on that. What I will say is that it looks great, it's really easy to put together and allows the kid to grow into this as a real bed. Since it isn't too frilly and crib like one the head and foot, I can see this becoming a really decent twin bed when she gets older. Shipping was pretty good. The box was banged up a bit on arrival, but the crib itself was undamaged. No dents, dings, or scratches on the wood. Build was relatively easy compared to the dresser/changing table, but as others have remarked the instructions are nothing to write home about. The good news is that there are really only a handful of pieces and they make logical sense. Total build time for this was around 1 hour with one person. I can't speak to durability yet, since the kid isn't born but it appears to be well built. The grey looks to be solidly painted on, so maybe some of the quality issues others have remarked on have been repaired. I wasn't gentle with it while putting it together and still have no dents or scrapes. I'm sure a little kid can find a way though. All in all I have a really positive impression of this crib. Would definitely buy again if I had to.

Esta muy bien la cuna. Me encanto el color y el acabado. No es tan difícil de armar pero si se requiere su tiempo y seguir bien las instrucciones.

Muy bonita y práctica. Para hacerla colecho tienes que comprar aditamentos especiales, mi esposo tardó mucho en armarla pero si vale la pena
