I do not see lead in the list. This product is made without Isododecane, Synthetic Film Formers, Silicones, Fragrances, Carmine, and Animal Byproduct, which are ingredients that can be found in other, less "clean" beauty products. I’m sorry you had that experience, I didn’t have that at all. It stayed creamy and hydrated the whole evening. I would say add a layer of your favorite lip gloss or chapstick; just one layer and it should fix it.
