THERMOS FUNTAINER 16 Ounce Stainless Steel Bottle, Purple

My son uses this for his drink for lunch. It doesn't leak, keeps the drink cold and has a wide mouth for drinking. It's very easy to pop the top and drink from it.

The Thermos Funtainer bottles are amazing. We live in Arizona and dehydration is a big concern so I like for my children to have a water bottle they can carry everywhere they go. I chose Thermos because I remember using Thermos products as a child, and they are just as awesome as I remember. The Funtainer products are fun because they come in such a wide variety of colours and even character designs. My girls love that their Thermoses are bright colours and they really do carry them almost everywhere they go. I love that the Thermoses don't leak and that they keep water cold for hours. Each morning before my daughter leaves for school, I fill her Thermos to the top with ice and water, and when she gets home from school 8 hours later, the very last bit of ice is still sitting in the bottom... frozen! This is a really big deal in a place where we experience triple digit temps for half the year. My one complaint, and it is so minor, is that the Funtainer Thermos bottles do seem to scratch. My oldest is a little rough with her bottle and it already has a few marks on it after just 4 weeks of use. But this is purely cosmetic. Her original Thermos Funtainer from Kindergarten lasted two full years of use. It was scratched when we retired it, but it was still completely useable. I just decided it was time to upgrade in size. Some might think the price is a little steep for "just a water bottle" but in our house, Thermos Funtainers are well worth their price.

My favorite travel mug for my kids is the Thermos Funtainer. This year, my 6 year old told me the 12 ounce wasn't lasting her the day at school - she was drinking it all by lunch time. I looked for a larger option and it was hard to find a larger size that had the flexible straw. Most had a wide mouth to drink from which can get messy with younger kids. The 16 ounce Thermos Funtainer is perfect. It has the long straw and doesn't leak. It has been lasting throughout the school day without any problems and keeps the drinks cold.

I purchased two of these for 8 and 10 year olds and they've been going to school with them daily for about a month now. We've been using Thermos Funtainers for most of their lives so are very familiar with the version including a straw... I am so glad to be done with those as these open spout water bottles are not only much easier to clean, but my kids are drinking more water (yay!) because it flows a little faster. Not so fast that we've even come close to any accidents though. I'm sure it won't stay perfect forever, but the kiddos aren't exactly careful and these cups are still free of dings and scratches, so they still look brand new for now. This wasn't the case a month into last school year when the kids had different, (not Thermos brand), water bottles that did not have the plastic piece protecting the bottom. Those bottles did the job but to be frank, they just started looking crap because they were (too easily) all beat up in no time. No leaking! These cups get tossed around with the kiddos' bookbags and are brought out to the field for P.E. and tossed on the ground and still.. no leaking. There was one day that a tiny bit seeped out but that seems to be a user error since it hasn't happened again. Anyhow, these big kid Funtainers are just about perfect for us... Dad, teen, and I have been using Yeti for several years but I will admit, I'm not perfectly happy with mine. Thermos has been doing it longer so I think I'll make the switch myself.

My daughter is in first grade now and outgrew the smaller 12oz funtainer. In the hot summers and falls here she would need 2 12oz funtainers to take to school, but would only drink half of one. This was the perfect solution. She loves the color and the lid is secure. few things I've noticed over the 2yrs I've had these: - mainly use these for kids to take cold milk to school. rated for 12hrs and will easily last until lunch. with a few ice cubes it is still very cold when I pick them up at 3:30pm - rarely the lid will pop open in the bag and spill milk all over the place. this really sucks. haven't had it happen yet with this new one but something to be careful about - this lid has a new design. funtainer has 2 top designs. this has a carry handle and a more secure placement of the plastic/silicon(?) straw/seal so it isn't very easily displaced like the old design. basically the new design is better. - lid still is 3 parts: the plastic outer that you see; the flexible silicon seal/straw that is very easy to remove, wash, put back; and the hard plastic straw. - I strongly recommend a straw cleaner brush like the camelbak version which I bought here on amazon - the bottom thermos is wide mouthed and easy to get a bottle brush into (recommend Nuby 2 Pack Easy Clean Bottle Brush with Suction Base as cheapest and longest lasting). note though this taller thermos I barely get the bottle brush into, but it still works. - dishwasher safe on top shelf - My kids occasionally over time chewed thru the flexible silicon straw at the top. probably went thru about 3-4 over the last 2 years with 2 kids. if it isn't too bad, you can trim with scissors (make sure the lid when shut still can clamp off the straw). this new lid design seems to have stronger silicon. we'll see over time. - by the way, even my 3 year old can pop open the top lid and close it on his own. very solid product that has helped me a ton over the past 2 years. bottomline, thermos works well, easy to clean, long lasting, kid friendly.

サーモスを持っているこどもはたくさんいるので、わが家も自分のものを判別しやすいようにこちらを選びました。蓋を開けて出てくるストローは真っ直ぐにならず、角度がついて固定されているので(材質も固め)飲みにくいかも知れません。替ストローがないようなので、切れないように大事に使ってほしいものです。笑。

小学生になる三男の為に購入。みんなとは違う物にしたくて選びました。すごく素敵だし使いやすいと思うのですが、替えストローが無いのが残念。なので星１つ減らしちゃいました。
