Good reminders of important lessons
I have read some of Sharon Saltzburg's materials before so much was repetitive but this book is a useful tune-up to my more or less daily practice. It would also be useful for someone new to meditation who wanted to understand the philosophy and method without being bogged down in a lot of very religious or ritualistic behaviors.

Kindle version
I decided to go paperless every chance I get and this was the first I bought. Love the book love the paperless concept. I just needn't to commit to sit and even after reading this I still can't seem to sit! But definitely good reading

compliation
A reasonable compilation of previously published articles on meditation practice. It does not replace the direct relationship with a teacher however.

Lucid and Profound
For beginners as well as people advanced in meditation, Commit To Sit is an excellent primer with all sorts of great information . It's articles are short and helpful. The book is organized in a really accessible way. I highly recommend it as being both lucid and profound. It has inspired me to sit everyday.

Look no further than this book...
Whether you are a beginner, looking at meditation for the first time, or like me, a committed meditator, this book has everything you could ever wish for. for starters, unlike other books that usually offer a singular view of the subject (i.e. the author's view) Commit To Sit is a compilation of many contributors, all of whom have a mountain of experience and wisdom to share. The book covers areas concerning all human behaviour, and is not only focused on meditation alone. It offers thoughts on other areas of our life that are open to becoming enhanced through adjustment. For example, there are chapters on giving up gossip, dealing with challenges at work, finding patience, working with desire -now who doesn't fall prey to their desires too often for their own good? I know that I do! (like writing reviews;))I would seriously recommend this book to anyone that has real desires to improve their lives through meditation -and through those microscopic alterations to behaviour.Since I first heard of this book (in the USA) I searched longingly to find it; now it's also helping me to find myself.
