My weimeraner is 106# and has a very deep chest. 36" Is this large enough?

I would of asked the same question the size dog it will fit not clearly/well stated

Will this work as a harness or will i need a leash as well?

There is a metal ring on the top of the unit for the leash to hook but if you need to front hook your dog, like I do because he pulls, you’ll need a separate collar or harness.

I have a Great Pyrenees, think this would fit him?

Yes, I believe that the dog backpack would fit a beautiful Great Pyrenees. These packs tend to run large so if your dog has a wide girth, then this pack will fit him/her excellently. You will have to decide to buy a medium or large, depending on your dog's girth. I use this backpack everyday. Very convenient!
