Will this work for a wooden band?

I'm not sure. I've never had a wooden watch band. If you compare it to a metal band and it uses same kind of connecting pins between links then yes. The tool set cost less than going to jeweler to shorten band one time and I still have the tool set to do it over and over again for different watches
