Worth every penny! Very close to authentic 'Kuttundi'
I rarely wrote any reviews but this one really deserves it! Amazing taste, very close to authentic Karnataka 'kuttundi'. Brought back so many child hood memories, even the way they have packaged is close to what we used to buy in our school days. Felt a bit expensive before I read where it's manufactured but after reading the information about the manufacturers and the product, it made it totally worth to pay the premium. My daughter loves it too, very happy to pass on the tradition! I rarely promoted any products in my personal group but promoted this one in every possible way! Thanks Go Desi group for bringing back the old memories! Will definitely try your other products. Keep up the great work of connecting globally!

Good product but little difficult to suck
Good product, but little spicy and it is not easy to suck. We would make this imlee pop at home in childhood. We would use little longer stick. Also the candy would stay at its place until it was wholly sucked. But this product, the lumps of candy comes out in your mouth.

Delicious! Nostalgic taste
Love the quality! Delicious hot, spicy yet sweet. Love the product packaging too as it highlights the benefits and the impact to the community. Highly recommend you are craving an all natural imli sweet

It does taste like tamarind!
The taste is a little sweet, little sour and a touch of spice, it’s pretty good. But they have small pieces of the outside of tamarind so it’s not smooth at all. Taste is not too consistent, some more sour, some more sweet.

Pricey !! cost of spicy memories is high :)
This fabulous imli sweet/spicy candy is actually tasty like heck but the cost it comes in is way too high ! $18.36 in USD compared to less than 500 rupees in India. Guess I shall buy them on Amazon India and bring several boxes for my kids in US, next time I visit India. Thanks for making it available but do consider lowering the price for 50 candies ! shampa mum

Nostalgic Candy!
Go Desi Imli Pop comes in a box with 50 pieces of candy on stick. As advertised it doesn’t have any sugar in the candy, which would generally give that coarse feeling on the tongue, as they’ve used jaggery it’s very smooth and goes very well with the sour imli. But the part that made me love this was you get the mild spicy flavour at the back of your tongue. And It tastes better than other other Imli products I’ve tried in Patel bros.

Perfect balance of sweet and sour, with a little spice.
Delicious tamarind candy, nice balance of sweet and sour. Great, natural tamarind flavor, unlike some “tamarind candy,” where there’s very little tamarind mixed in with other stuff. This candy’s main ingredient is tamarind and taste exactly like it. I’ve had tons of tamarind candy, Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino, Chinese, this is one of the best tasting. Def a must try if you’re a tamarind candy connoisseur.

Even though they were quite expensive, most of the candies had an oily smell, suggesting they were old—except for a few.
