Doesn't taste diet!
Got these for the family and they love them, especially the one that's equivalent to Dr. Pepper. They smell and taste like proper name brand sodas, but actually are better because they are crisper with freshly carbonated water. Plus, you can control the amont of syrup you want for a lighter or bolder flavor or mix and match flavors for something unique. Decent value, especially if you catch it on sale, which is actually pretty frequent. My only complaint is that I wish they came in larger quantities or had a pump option.

Tastes just like the sugary version
I tried the Sodastream regular Dr Pete mix before trying this diet one, and they're identical to me in taste, and much easier to pour thanks to it not having any sticky sugary stuff in the mix. Tastes great to me, the price for a 4 pack of this stuff is great, and I could not recommend this more if you like Dr.Pepper. (pro tip, add a little zero sugar vanilla, it makes it closer to the real thing) It contains the same amount of caffeine as the regular, does not contain aspertame, and is artificially sweetened using sucralose. I'm not a physician or health expert by any means, but if you're switching to diet due to health concerns, I would advise you do some research on sucralose and the possible effects it has on your gut biome. I personally take pre/probiotics to be on the safe side, something to consider, always do your own research. I'm not a dentist or dental expert by any means, but if you're switching to diet due to dental concerns, I would advise you do some research on acidic drinks, especially with C02, regardless of diet or not. I personally use a titanium straw as it doesn't affect taste, and like any other reusable straw it reduces the contact your acidic bubbly beverages will have on your teeth - again always do your own research.

Love the taste, love the machine.
So, I used to buy diet tonic in the market. Best deal was .79 per bottle. Would get about 4 full glasses per bottle. Since I purchased Soda Stream and the diet tonic syrup I get so much more for the money. I control the strength and not worry about loosing carbonation. Love the taste, love the machine.

Taste Pretty good.
Cola: Smells just like Coke but taste a little more like RC Cola. Root beer: Smells like much like root beer but way sweeter and not a profound root beer flavor. Dr Pete: Smells like Dr Pepper but does not taste like Dr Pepper, has way more sweeter flavor and less profound flavor. Lemon Lime: Not tasted yet, didn't want to open to many bottles and go bad before finishing. All in all, they taste pretty good, all are quite sweet with not as much flavor as the real thing, it could be adjusted by adding a little more flavoring than recommended i suppose. unfortunately, coke don't have syrup to buy like pepsi does so have to deal with "cloned" coke syrup.

Enjoyable
Good alternative for anyone who wants to control the amount of sweetness in their soda drinks.

Tasty and convenient, a great find online
I’ve been using SodaStream for years, and the Ginger Ale flavor is one of my absolute favorites but it’s almost impossible to find in my local grocery stores. I checked multiple places and it was always sold out or simply not stocked. Buying directly from the company’s website wasn’t ideal either because the shipping fees made it way too expensive for just a few bottles. I was genuinely relieved to finally find it here. The flavor is exactly what I want: crisp, refreshing, and not overly sweet. It tastes even better when I control the carbonation level myself. I love that I can keep this on hand and make ginger ale whenever I want without paying ridiculous shipping or driving around to different stores trying to track it down. If you’re a SodaStream user and this is one of your harder-to-find flavors, this listing is a lifesaver. I’ll definitely be keeping it in my regular rotation now.

RED 40 & YELLOW 6 WHY
Seriously?! I bought this whole stupid thing because I thought this is supposed to be the healthy alternative to retail soda!! Every single one of these is just as bad with artificial flavors galore! Artificial and quite literally CARCINOGENIC chemicals! - RED 40 comes from COAL TAR!! Nuff said! Cancer cancer cancer, just look it up. - yellow 6 is a bit more complex but is still referred to in RECENT (2021) medical studies: “This synthetic food dye is associated with adverse neurobehavioral outcomes in children.” - Acesulfame Potassium, aka Ace-K, and although credible medical studies such as those done by the PruittHealth have linked it to CANCER and other health issues, overall it has been swept under the rug by corrupt entities like the FDA with deceitful ratings such as ‘safe for human consumption ((( 🤫 as long as only X amount is consumed 🤫 )))’ I am so angry about this! I was duped! I didn’t think to check the ingredients beforehand, I trusted the product/company to deliver their promises of a healthier alternative! It sure as heck ain’t cheaper when you’re still going to be paying hundreds of thousands of $$$ in medical bills because your lymph nodes are swelling up with metastasized cancer cells and doctors are pumping you full of chemo and cutting out whatever they can before there’s nothing left of you! Now we need to ask ourselves what is their motive to adding Yellow 6 and Red 40?? They already have Beta-Carotene for color and they could have used turmeric to help correct and other coloring.. but no.. they choose COAL TAR like seriously?! and the Ace-K, why? We already have real SUGAR in the dang syrup! Why Ace-K?! This just seems like big food found another way to get to us by making us think we found healthy alternatives but in reality it’s just them again under a different brand and context to give us a false sense of security and trust. 5/5 because it tastes really good, better than Sunkist or Crush which is because they don’t use real sugar anymore and only that high fructose stuff which don’t even get me started on that.. but also, I would like this company to understand and consider their consumers health. If we all shout about this, maybe they will change the ingredients to something that’s actually healthier than retail sodas. Note, the above is mainly when regarding the orange soda but I bought cherry, cola, and orange and I have to say that cola and cherry cola taste like DIET COKE (vomit emoji)

Did NOT receive a variety pack as I ordered and they arrived leaking!
I have lots of experience with SodaStream over the last few years so let me make this "leakage" issue as clear and to-the-point as I can to help new (potential) users to understand. These leak. Plain and simple. Look on any local store shelves that sells these and you will clearly see evidence of leakage... and a lot of it. This is NOT the seller's issue, however; ***it is due to poor product design with the bottles they are packaged in.*** I would be surprised if anyone received these with 0 leakage. Yes, sadly it is THAT common. Make sure you open it by the sink or have wet hand wipes available. With that now out of the way, they are also a disaster to try to pour from as it becomes very messy and not pour-friendly. Funnels and/or pumps are HIGHLY recommended! SodaStream really needs to get it in gear and design a new bottle that is leak-proof and pour-friendly! They all have the tendency to leak when they are put under any sort of pressure. That goes towards my 1-star rating. However, it is not the main reason I rated it 1 star. If this was the only issue I would rate it as 3 or 4 stars as you can rinse off the sticky goop easily under a faucet. No biggie other than slight loss of product. The main reason I am rating this as 1 star is because I purchased a variety pack, and I received 4 syrups that are the same exact flavor (cola). Or at least, I believed I did. It is not clearly marked exactly what you get other than the provided photo and the fact that the title stated "VARIETY" on it with a photo of 4 different bottles. I "could" send them back but the hassle of it is just not worth it. I will use them... ALL of them... so might as well keep them. But they need to send what we actually pay for and be far more straightforward with their descriptions and wording. I'm sorry, but if it clearly states "variety pack" in the title, as well as shows a photo of 4 different flavors, that is what I want! That is the main reason for my 1-star rating. For the flavors, I am sort of a soda-holic and I know my flavors pretty well. I am also sort of picky. Here's my opinion on the flavors: Cola - 5 stars. It is no Coca-Cola but it is REALLY good and comparable, better than most generics, and can be mixed with Torani syrups to make some truly amazing soda flavor combos. Keep in mind that you will be sacrificing "some" flavor for slightly healthier sodas, so the very slight flavor difference is well worth it to me and they are very good. Dr. Pete - 2 stars. It's OK but sort of a funky taste. Certainly not my favorite. Dr. Pepper is good but not my favorite either so that might be partly the reasoning. Lemon Lime - 4 stars. Basically the same opinion as Cola. Really good, but can get tiring after a few drinks. Fountain Mist - 5 stars! One if my favorites! It is their take on Mountain Dew. Root Beer - 3 stars. Kinda the same opinion as the Dr. Pete. Strange taste but not bad either. Might take some getting used to. Orange - 5 stars! Probably one of the best flavors they have created as far as how it tastes and compares to normal soda brands. Cherry Cola - 3 stars. It's ok, but not great and honestly is far better to just buy a bottle of cherry Torani syrup and add to the regular Cola flavor. Tastes far better and you can then perfect the quantities to your liking. Also consider vanilla Torani flavoring to make cherry-vanilla Cola! Yummmm! Be sure what you are ordering is a variety pack if that's what you want. Reach out the the seller FIRST before buying it if in any doubt. Otherwise you can end up like me... sticky Cola catastrophe! Good luck and I hope this helps at least someone!
