Review: Nearly month long trip with 7 different plane flights - Purchased the set for a trip to Australia and New Zealand. We had 7 different plane flights on that trip. The bags came through without any damage. A little scuffing, but that is to be expected. We used the two larger bags. We picked this bag set because they have 2 in-line wheels instead of the more common 4 wheel swiveling type. The wheels don't extend as far from the bag giving you more inside room for the same dimensions. The two outer zip pockets are not as large as on our previous bag set but were sufficient. We threw away the little locks that came with the bags. They looked like you could just twist them apart with a pliers. The medium bag didn't want to stand upright on it's own once it was filled with clothing. It tended to tip over forwards. It appears the front hand grip on the bottom is not positioned far enough forward. The rigid lift handles are long enough for us to put a camera bag on top of the case. Over all happy with the bags.

This is the 2nd set I've bought in 8 years - recently catching the 4-piece set on sale for an amazing $58 - and it is perfectly suitable for regular air travel. It's an attractive matching set (I get the hanger case to go with) that is durable and will last several reliable years. I bought the burgundy set in 2017 and it has served me well. It's well-designed spatially, expandable, and quite durable for the price. I like the inset wheels (as opposed to swiveling casters) because they are more compact and less prone to damage. Until the airlines stop slamming our luggage around like bags of cement, this is an excellent and nice-looking 7-10 year set for the money.

Between business and personal travel, I average 4-6 trips a year. Let's be honest - given enough time and enough trips, the airlines WILL deface, damage, or destroy your luggage, regardless of the brand. Hence, it has never made much sense to me to pay top dollar for a top name brand for regular travel. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Poor quality control

Quality assurance needs re-evaluation I received a set of this luggage several years ago as a gift and really liked it. However, it was time to replace it after 10 years and quite a bit of use, so I was very happy to find the same set on Amazon. Unfortunately, when I received the new set I had a problem with the handle on the largest case immediately upon opening it. Apparently, the frame that the handle goes into was deformed and made it Extremely difficult to get the handle up. (Like, I needed two hands to raise the handle.) I didn’t want to have to deal with this going through airports. So I had to return it. Very disappointing. I really like this particular set, so I may try re-ordering, but this lack of quality assurance is concerning, to say the least. I will say that Amazon handled the return without any problems.
