Initial heel slippage, but broke in quickly, and very comfortable now. Soft leather. Not the greatest as it almost looks rubbery. But its a sleek boot.

Surprisingly nice for the money. Very soft and comfortable. They polish up nicely. It's tough to find any leather sole chelsea boots in this price range.

Generally, a lovely, high-quality boot. Great, true-to-size fit. Comfortable right out of the box. However, two reasons they did not get five stars: 1) the pull tabs are poorly sewn (one tab has already come loose without maltreatment); and 2) the leather sole is buffed so smooth it is extremely slick (I know this is a common issue with leather soles that gets better with wear or alteration, but the lack of traction is extreme in this case). UPDATE: After two days wearing the boots on various surfaces--concrete, cobblestone, carpet, and other surfaces--the amount of traction is pretty good--a huge improvement over the super-slick soles that arrived. The quickness of this dramatic change is abnormal when I consider other leather-soled shoes I have owned. With the traction issue essentially solved, it's just the weakly sewn pull tabs that keep this boot from being a five-star product.

The design is great. However, sometimes it hurts my feet despite it's perfectly fit on me.

This is a really nice boot! It's a little bit lighter in person than the photo portrays...just FYI. With Cole Haan I usually have to order a 1/2 size up (I wear a 10.5 but always order an 11) because his shoes run smaller and sometimes narrower on my foot (and I have an average foot). I have ordered 7 pairs of his shoes and 2 pairs of his boots over the last few months and out of those 9, only 3 of them were actually ordered in a 10 1/2 (my size) but the other 6 had to be a half size larger (size 11). I love them all! Unfortunately, I had to return this boot though because the sole was coming unglued (hence 4 stars instead of 5). It's a first with Cole Haan but to have only 1 damaged out of 9 is a good thing. As long as the quality of his shoes remain impeccable, I'm a Cole Haan fan for life.

Great looking shoe that fit very comfortably when I first tried them on. But after a couple of hours of the first wear, they gave me horrible, horrible blisters around my heel.
