Perception TrueFit Kayak Cockpit Cover - for Sit Inside Kayaks

Fits as promised and works well. After several years of use, it continues to work. Note that I do not use it as the sole cockpit cover for transport on the roof of my truck, I have an additional top cover that secures around the hull, but between those two covers, the cockpit (and what I have it it) seems to keep everything dry.

Fits snug and perfectly but is a wee bit of a hassle to get it on correctly!

Does what it's intended to do, covers the cockpit. There's a little plastic piece of clear tube behind the cord knot at one end. It's about an inch long. I had to cut that off to get it to fit ( the tube not the cord, used a seatbelt cutter) . ......And the cover only fits one way so if it didn't fit, you might have it on backwards. . I think that piece was to fit a slightly smaller boat. P8 on a carolina 12 and once I figured out which direction it went on and removed the tube it fit great. So, after many miles and many trips the cover is holding up awesome. I have traveled hundreds of highway miles with the cover on the kayak while on my racks at 80 mph (threaded through the tie-down just in case) and it stays on perfectly and is still as tight as it was new

This P12 fit my Lifetime Guster kayak perfectly. Takes a bit of practice to get on…I watched a video on how to put it on (start at the widest end and ease it up to the smaller end, moving equally up both sides vs trying to inch it up left to right. Straddling the kayak helps.

I was surprised that it lasted as long as it did. My kayak sits outside year round and this cover is exposed to the elements 24/7. This year, year 5 it has started to dry rot but I could get one more year out of it if I patch it. My only complaint is that in the beginning and the first few times you put it on, it will take 2 people. It’s a very tight fit. Good for keeping bugs and water out!!! I would definately buy again!!!

Have a little patience. At first this is quite tight and difficult to get on. But, once you've done it a couple times, it goes on fairly easily and is a nice tight fit. Keeps out additional moisture and critters!

When I got it I had to put the elastic through which was really hard because it’s so short. When I did get it through and knotted it was too tight to be able to to put on my kayak without help.
