Worked great providing power to my ring doorbell. Enough wire to make a long run and plugged right in to a wall socket. Bought this (second) one for my new house.

I bought this to replace the previous power supply for my Ring doorbell. Easy to use, and just worked. Not much to it.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do...power video doorbells. The wall-wart type plug is reasonably small and the length of wire is enough for most installations. White plus is unobtrusive. Delivers stated 20 VAC which is more than enough for video doorbell. No installation or settings required.

Has been working well I've had it for a while now and was a great idea to connect my ring cameras directly to an outlet directly to an outlet

This is extra security for my mother's home.

Very good -use these on all my battery operated RING units -cheaper than a new battery and maintenance free..just so you know -it still needs a battery in it ( all come with it installed ) -even a old used dead battery works -but this won't power it without a battery in it ..

Without this power adapter, my doorbell would be half useless. Shouldn't need to charge batteries on a home security device, this adapter solves a critical security issue w Ring where the doorbell fails if the batteries die. In colder climates, batteries don't stand up, and hard wiring the doorbell becomes a necessity. This cord has excellent length, and the box stays plugged in firmly even being behind a busy place in my house- the shoe bench. I drilled a 5/8 inch hole thru the wall for the wire, filled with foam, and used a cord cover to stop accidental tugging on wires in high traffic area near the door. This adaptor saved my doorbell! The box is occasionally warm but not dangerously so, standard heat from something like a laptop charger is comparable and doesn't concern me. It's frequently touching our shoes and hasn't bothered anything it's touching ever.

Unfortunately, I did not use or test the doorbell transformer when it arrived. Due to changes in my rental location, I ended up putting this away to be used in the future when circumstances changed. Today, I pulled it out and attempted to hook up a smart doorbell only to find that the 16 VAC transformer only puts out 3.1 VAC. It is far too late to return it, so the transformer has gone into the recycling bin. If you purchase one of these, make sure to immediately check the output voltage at least.
