The elastic is good, plenty to work with around and tucking the fitted under the bed as well. The sheets are EXTREMELY soft to touch and nice. I live in Florida where anything that causes body heat to be held onto or sweat or scratchy bed fabrics is a no go. These sheets were just perfect. Their color, too, since all these washes hasn't faded a single bit and I do not see any pulls or tears in the sheets yet. I am EXTREMELY glad I went out on a limb and purchased these. Comfortable, light, smooth, soft and cool. The last part is important because we live in FL, and we have very few days in the winter that remain cool enough to open windows, so I look forward to seeing how these sheets do in the middle of summer.
