U.S. Art Supply 24"x36" Self-Healing Cutting Mat 6-Ply White/Blue

Didn't fit into my cutting table inset. Needed to be 1in wider all around. Otherwise, great quality and wished it did fit. Like the pink side and couldn't find that color any where else. 😢

Ok, firstly, this is a gorgeous, thick mat, double-sided and far better than any cutting mat I have seen in any of my local huge craft stores. It is also less expensive; even with big coupons, I could not get a mat this size for anything near what I paid for this mat. So five stars for that! And despite what I have read in one of the comments, there was no off-putting odor.That said, I have to mention the packaging it was shipped in. It arrived in a frame box, squished, with the mat having slunk down, curling itself on the bottom. On removal from the shipping box, the mat was decidedly wavy, like it was molded that way. I have tried to bend it back to flat, but presently have it flat on a table with heavy things on it, hoping for it to flatten out more with the pressure. It has been 24 hours and there has been improvement; I am hoping for more. I may need to sandwich it between two hot cookie sheets if pressure alone does not work. I urge the manufacturer to either put in baffles in the shipping boxes to prevent the mat slumping and curling within the box they are presently using, or better yet, just make a big cardboard envelope for it out of the sides of the boxes. It is a flat thing, after all. I will be doing just that out of the shipping box for my closet storage.Edit: Used the heated cookie sheet with heavy things on top and it worked well. Mat now flat.

I have been using this mat for a couple of months and it does appear to be self healing. It isn't marking up in the spots that I cut all the time. A negative is that if you use this mat to cut fabric, it is very difficult. If I want to cut a 9 x 9 square, I actually have to cut it 10 x 10 to get the 9 x 9. You can't put you fabric on the outside line as it covers up the numbers, therefore you have to move it over an inch. It is also not possible to cut a 36 inch length of fabric. I have to pull out an older marked up mat to do that.

While this cutting mat is smaller than 24 x 36 inches ( it is basically 22 x 34 inches) I love how clear the white lines are for cutting and how the inch markings are bolder that half inch so you can easily see where to place your rulers. The mat is self healing and my rotary cutter just glides on this mat. I am getting much cleaner cuts of fabric more easily with this mat whether or not I am sitting down or standing. It is also reversible so if you need to use glues or other materials I suggest using one side for that work and keeping another side just for work with fabric and patterns.

This is the best cutting mat I have ever had. First, it's pretty, Second you can switch it up - one side is pink and the other side is blue. It is so durable and strong. The only negative thing that I can say is my fault - it's that I keep it on the floor of my craft room when I'm not using it because I don't have a proper place to store it. It doesn't matter though because this mat is uber useful and this is one sacrifice I'm glad to make. When that mat comes out and is placed on my dining room table it's craft time! hahaha!

I’m really pleased with this cutting mat. I’m a quilter and replaced my old Olfa mat with this pretty pink one. I love it, so cheery in my sewing area.

I love my new large cutting mat! Love the large bold numbers written in inches only 👍 and the thickness.....especially as it can be used on both sides.
