Nice rack 😂 for the price point
Dude, this thing is awesome for the price point! It was easy to install on my vehicle (Mitsubishi Outlander). I haven’t had any issues with the bikes fitting. They sit securely and don’t bounce at all! It’d be cool to have a way to lock my bikes for when we need to stop at a store or something, but I just fixed that with a bike lock.

Excellent Bike Rack for the Money
I bought this primarily to carry two bikes on a cross-country trip from NY to CA, and it worked exceedingly well on my 2025 Honda CR-V. Set up/installation was a breeze. It performed perfectly with no issues at all the entire drive. For long trips, it’s smart to check the straps at each stop and retighten if needed, but that’s true for any bike rack, even the expensive ones. I also recommend tying off the straps near the buckle to help from loosening and so they don’t flap in the wind. I also used simple Velcro straps to keep the tires from moving or spinning, and adding heavy fabric or leather scratch protectors anywhere the rack or bikes touch the car. Those small extras made everything even more secure. The rack folds down for easy storage when not in use. High recommend!

Works good, but it’s a little tight for 2 mtb
Perfect for a single bike. Relatively quick setup. If you’re not careful though when taking 2 mtb’s you will scratch your outer forks and brakes\levers. I recommend covering your fork and brakes/levers with a clean microfiber and Velcro strap before loading 2nd bike to minimize scratching. It’s a pretty tight fit with 2 mtb but overall it’s a secure system, was going 80mph down the freeway with 2 mtb’s and it held up. Fits easy in a sedans trunk when it’s not being used. Would definitely recommend for shorter trips, and for the price it’s a good product. 👍🏻

Great Bike Rack
Great Bike Rack for the Price! I used this Allen Sport trunk rack for a couple of trips and it worked perfectly. It’s easy to install, holds two bikes securely, and fits well . The straps feel strong and the rack stays stable even on longer drives. Great value and very convenient!

Works GREAT… fantastic value
I bought this bike rack for my 2013 Honda CRV (LX). I had gone to the Allen Sports website to verify that it would fit and it seemed like a great value and something that would work perfectly for me. I debated whether to purchase a one or two bike rack as I am the only one that rides, but I ended up opting for the two bike rack hopipng that my spouse would (at some point) become interested in riding as well. I will try to give some tips that will hopefully help you decide if this is a good fit for you, and also some tips on how to best use it: 1. Check the Allen Sports website to see if it will fit your particular vehicle. DO NOT take it at face value when reviewers on here say it DOES or DOES NOT fit a certain vehicle. They may not know how to install it, or they may be installing it incorrectly (i.e. unsafely) in order to ‘make’ it work. 2. The instructions for mounting the rack are fairly good but you really have to read them closely - ESPECIALLY when it comes to the bottom hook. The top and side hooks are fairly logical and self-explanatory… although make sure you use the correct hooks for top and side. The top hooks are bigger/wider than the side hooks, and the side hooks are also labeled. 3. KEY for certain vehicles - this is the issue that ALMOST made me think that this wouldn’t work for me (even though Allen Sports said it would). The bottom hook has several ways to be utilized, depending on your vehicle. The main issue is whether you have something metal to clip the hook to. Today many bumpers, and even the bottom of cargo doors are a hardened plastic, OR they have no ‘lip’ over which to clip the hook. This was the case for me… and even though I read the alternate ways to solidly connect the bottom hook, it wasn’t apparent to me at first. Ultimately, you don’t really connect that bottom hook TO anything, but instead open the trunk/cargo door slightly and put the hook inside and close the trunk/cargo door back, which secures the hook inside the vehicle and you just tighten the strap. 4. Depending on your car, and on your risk tolerance, you may want to consider using electrical tape around the hooks (some or all, depending on your vehicle) to help cushion and protect any paint. Since my vehicle is a 2013 it wasn’t an issue I was particularly concerned with but I did go ahead and opt to do it - figured it was easy to do and certainly wouldn’t hurt anything by doing it. 5. Definitely do something to secure the tires, to keep them from spinning, and inthe case of the front tire, to keep it from swiveling and hitting the vehicle. You can use the excess on the tie down straps, or just use a bungee cord. The rack works perfectly on my Honda CRV and is actually even more steady/firm than I was expecting. Overall I could not be more pleased and am ready to hit the road!

Has lasted a year and still counting
I've had this on my sedan for a year now. Still holds up, won't scratch your car up as long as you remove pedals facing the vehicle, and properly mount the bikes.

⭐⭐⭐ Allen Sports Trunk Mount Bike Rack for Two Bikes
The Allen Sports trunk mount bike rack for two bikes is a decent option if you’re looking for something affordable and easy to use. Installation is fairly straightforward, and it holds the bikes securely for short trips. The rack is lightweight and easy to store when not in use. That said, there are a few downsides. The straps require careful adjustment, and you need to double-check them before every drive to make sure everything stays tight. It also lacks padding in some areas, so extra care is needed to avoid scratches on the car or bikes. For longer trips or highways, it doesn’t feel as stable as higher-end racks. Overall, it works well for occasional use and short distances, but if you plan to transport bikes frequently or on long trips, you may want to invest in a more robust option. Good value for the price, but with some limitations.

Cost Effective Way for BIke Transport
This cannot be left on your car for two reasons: 1) It will block your license plate. 2) It cannot be secured to the car. Anyone with a sharp knife can take the unit in seconds. Its a basic cradle for carrying your bike for a day trip. Recommend placing 3M Clear Bra Paint Protector Tape on your trunk lid, and any where else there's contact, to protect against friction to paint as this unit does sit on your trunk lid. Look for 3M protector at window tinting places. You may get lucky and obtain a few left over piece(s) for free. Or procure at Amazon in 6" by 25" rolls. 3M protector is very tough but easy to remove with a hand blow dryer to restore your car back to original state. If you're looking for something locking and more secure I'm afraid you will need to spend more money. This unit It is designed for two bikes but make sure they are light weight. It carries one bike well but two bikes may stress out your car metal even thou the rack is designed for two. You will need to procure additional nylon ties for securing the bike to the rack tightly. The provided lock down straps just don't cut it as you may see your bike passing you on a simple trip. And if you are worried about security, this is not bike rack you seek. Did I say that? So no locking function, cannot secure to car, provided straps are less than average, will damage car paint and may dent thin metal cars if transporting two bikes. Beside all these drawbacks, it works beautifully in transporting bikes for a day trip plus the cost is right. Another plus is I can leave the unit in my car trunk until I need it and there is no further assembly or disassembling as the unit is ready when you are. YES you can secure the unit within a few minutes WITH REMOVAL if you are worried. This is a basic cut rate, get it done, no bells and whistles rack. Enjoy those sunny bike rides!
