This is awesome works on a professional level.
This is great. I bought one before this just one of those mail trimmers with the diamond grinder it was a joke after getting this one I now see how bad the other one was. This is like a professional groomer tool. This has power and grinds the mail so fast it’s great. With my old one I had to do one nail forever this takes seconds and your done. So much better quality this is a solid tool with a little weight to it witch is good. It’s wireless and rechargeable but that doesn’t effect the strength and speed because it works super good. I absolutely love it and wish it was my first buy. Now I tell people about it so they don’t make the same mistake. It works really well and grinds the nails super quick ( please remember when cutting your dogs nails that these heat up and the heat goes to the nail so please if your doing your dogs nails please remember to grind for a second and then take a break so it doesn’t heat up and hurt or burn them witch makes them pull away. You could stop for a min or goto the next nail and then go back to it cause it gets hot in seconds). I definitely recommend this dremel for anyone. I don’t always do my dogs nails I take him to the groomer because I don’t feel safe getting down low on the nail but grinder makes it so much easier for me to keep them shorter in between the groomer since they grow fast. This grinder grinds the mail right back down so fast and I feel much safer to grains gradually instead of cutting. This was definitely a great purchase. Also if you have a dog that doesn’t like there nails done the one and two speed is pretty quiet and it’s so quick that you can get it done quicker and less stress in your pup. It comes with a few disks and pieces to get you started so you can see what works best for you. The sanding disks hold up or last pretty good to. All around great tool

Be prepared...
The tool itself works quite well. From a human perspective, it's relatively quiet and is comfortable for the dog and easy to use. However, if your dog hates having their nails trimmed, do not expect them to just sit for you and happily get a pedicure. You will still have to go through a process of getting the stuff accustomed to the process. It's easier than conventional clippers, but the first few times I tried to use these the dog would bolt if he even saw me have the tool in my hand. Ultimately, I had to take an "iron hand in a velvet glove" approach and just force the dog to allow me to use the tool in him (for his benefit as much as ours). He is slowly getting desensitized to having his nails pedicured, and we make a little more progress each time.

Way better than older version
This dremmel is about the same weight as the old version, however the weight is more evenly distrubuted verses having the having battery at the bottom with the last one. It has 4 speeds which is awesome with the different level of sounds our dogs at the salon can handle. The safety mechanism is easy to change as well as super easy to change to a standard head. The quality is superb. It fits easily in our hands and the locking mechanism makes it easy to to not turn on if you're a traveling groomer. We only bring ours home when we want to get our personal dogs nails done. The battery seems to be more efficient than our old one. Hoping this one lasts for several years like our last one did! Update: using it on almost a daily, we've had it for 9.5 months and it completely died on us. Battery wont charge anymore. While it works well, Im sad that this is the upgraded version as the old version lasted 2+ years before we would have to replace it.

Used it for a few years now... It's great!
We have used this for a few years now and because of a non replaceable battery it finally is being replaced. *NOTE - That said, I highly recommend not leaving this plugged in for over 1 days to recharge. I believe that is why it stopped so soon. Here is info you need to choose the tool right for you pups! •Dog Sizes: We use this for our 2 dogs: (Medium/Large Size) Black Lab & Border Collie Mix, (Small Size) Chihuahua •Sound: It's a little noisy because it's grinding nails, but that said, it is gentler because the quick doesn't get squished/squeezed like when nails are clipped. •Get Dog Used To Tool: This is a new item to your dog and it has both sensations and sounds that they are not used to. So follow guidelines in instructions to get them used to the device before actually using it to grind their nails. Funny thing is that my big dog is fine with loud noises, but he is uncomfortable with how the vibrations feel. It took him a few weeks to get used to it. If I wait too long in-between grindings, he pulls his paws away to rebel for a little bit. Then I show him the regular clipper and he lays back and lets me get 1/3 of his nails trimmed. Lol! My little dog likes it because she hates the big squeezing feeling when clipping her nails. She tells me no at first - she doesn't like her paws touched, but then she just chills. She is silly and sweet. Lol! • Directions: The directions are great for this product! Follow them and you will have content pups and very good results! • Tools Necessary: We use this grinder for our dogs and it came with everything that I believe is useful for the safe removal of their nails. Example. If your dog pulls or moves his paws while grinding, there's a safety cover that helps to keep the parts you are not using from cutting your dog by accident. The cap is clear plastic so I can see what I'm doing and to know when to shake out ground up nail powder. It can smell bad if you go to fast. **So take breaks so your dog's quick/paw doesn't get hot and uncomfortable. And there are a few different speeds to choose from in order to go as slow as necessary for little dog nails and quicker for thick longer, big dog nails. Also there's a drum and a flat disc. Use the one that you are comfortable using, to grind using different methods. There are a lot of videos out there that give all kinds of advice. Go with what is good for your dog's needs and your dexterity level and patience. And patience is key. This is not a contest. It's a way to take care of your pup and save money and time! • Battery Life/Capacity:.This seems to hold a decent charge. Now I never have tried to get both dogs nails all ground down in one sitting. My back and my husband's back just don't last that long anymore. Lol! So we can get our little dog done in one sitting and still have a charge to start on my big dog's nails. Besides he only has enough patience to let us use it long enough to get about one and a half of his paws done. And then it starts to slow down. So now we start with our big dog that needs a higher speed and a longer time to get one to two paws done. Then we can do our little dogs nails and finish. • Heating Up : This is a grinder. It's a machine that spins a disc and deals with friction, so it heats up! That said, it's perfectly normal for this to happen. It doesn't heat up the motor when we do our little pup's nails. But the resistance and amount of time required to grind our big pup's nails heats things up. So take breaks and give your pup some treats and positive attention. The machine cools off in a few minutes and then we resume grinding. Final Thoughts So longevity has been good! And function is excellent. Just follow great instructions in the users manual! The quality has been great! The ease of use took a little time because I had never used a grinder before. But my husband found it easy to use. I figured out how to get the dogs used to the sound and slowly get our big chicken, I mean dog used to the vibration. Looking back I was worried, but everything turned out fine. My husband had good info on how to hold and position the tool to each dog's nails, so as to grind the right amount and the desired shape. Yeah teamwork! So all the above to say that we Highly Recommend this product! And we believe you and your pups (mattering their disposition), will finally think getting their nails trimmed is not so bad. The price is fair. Life is about time verses money, so This Saves Money as Compared To getting your dog's nails Professionally Trimmed, even at a local pet supply store. We had a good experience with our relatively chilled and relaxed dogs. I hope my review helps you choose what is right for you and your pup! But to be clear... We Highly Recommend This Dog Nail Grinder!

3yrs of Use… Still going strong!
We’ve used this for our pup (Willow) for the last few years and have saved approximately $600 in doing so. The long term savings and being able to reduce our own girl’s anxiety is a huge win for us and we have not regretted this purchase. + We have used this at least once every three to four weeks and have had zero issues with the motor or battery health. + You will have to purchase new dremel sanding heads as the sandpaper becomes used. + Noise is tolerable. It’s a dremel and it’ll take time for your pup to become accustomed to the noise and feel.

1st one lasted me 4 years. Better than the "Dremel 7350-PET 4V" model. Groomer approved!
I'm a groomer. I ordered my first one back in June 2020. I've used this model on several dogs and have 2 of my own that I have also used it on weekly for 4 years. It finally broke down after I dropped it on the concrete of our patio as I prepared to do my dogs' nails. Otherwise, I'm sure it would've lasted me another year or so. I ordered a new one this week. Hopefully, it holds up like my old one. Compared to Dremel 7350-PET 4V this one: * has a much stronger motor * better grip design * more durable and heavy duty * and feels a lot more better quality * It is heavier that the 7350, though Pros: * Easy grip design * Powerful motor * Heavy duty * Durable * Can withstand a lot * Quieter than most pet nail grinder models * Can sand down all dog nails sizes closer to the quick without hitting the quick * Leaves nails smoother than nail clippers (I use off-brand 120 grit sand bands) * No overheating of motor noticed * Portable * Good battery charge Cons: * Gets louder as you increase the speed (no idea how they would fix this without sacrificing power) * Sand bands heat up as you leave them on the nail ( I use stroking motion to prevent) * Fur and hair can get caught in the mandrel attachment (just be careful and move it) * You have to train dogs to be ok with vibration and sound of machine. (once it's done it's easy) * The attachment release button is very easy to press while using, which can be a little dangerous if the drill bit is released while working on a dog. Overall, a great product for any pet owners and groomers. I only use the mandrel attachment and sand bands. I order some similar sized "Merryland Drum Sander" brand 120 grit sand bands for a smoother finish because the Dremel brand sand bands are expensive and I switch each one between dogs, unless they're from the same household. Buy it. Sure, it's pricey, but you save yourself money on the long run. Especially in this economy. Here are some links for those who want to learn how to use it and/or train their dogs to be ok with foot handling and nail grinder sounds. McCann Dog Training Videos are very informational on YouTube: * How to use the Dremel around on a dog's nails(see how she holds the Dremel and how she strokes as she grinds): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3hepjtT7og * How to train your dog to allow you to hold their paws and toes (long detailed video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-w0T-50kfHI&t=12s * How to train your dog to be ok with the nail grinder sound and sensation(long detailed video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBKni77UfsQ&t=19s Be sure to stabilize your dogs toe as you grind the nail because the toe can vibrate and you can harm your dog accidentally. Dedicate 5 minutes a day to just have your dog used to you holding their paws, the sound, and the presence of the Dremel and it'll be so easy for you.

Awesome tool
I have an eight year old German Shepherd that does not let me get close to her paws with a nail clipper. Only the vet could cut her nails during her annual check up while she is sedated. I decided to try this Dremel nail grinder because of its low noise feature and it turns out this is the solution. After about a week of just turning on the tool around her and touching her paws with the bottom end, I was able to grind one of her nails. With the help of treats, I can now do all the nails on one paw in a single session. I am slowly getting to the point where I can do all of her nails in one session. The included grinder disc does work, but I purchased the diamond nail grinder bit. This grinder bit works better and faster, in my opinion.

No longer charges
Worked great while it worked. Easy to use but after only two years it will no longer charge. Agree with others that it's pretty loud at higher speeds. I also never really used the attachments they were a bit cumbersome and I didn't find them necessary with my pooch.
