Compared the $100 SE215 to the $500 SE535
I compared these headphones to the Shure SE535 headphones ($500) just to see what I was missing by buying the $100 single driver version. There are two major difference that jumped out at me. First the $100 SE215s have a much fuller/thumpier bass. I happen to like it, but it does sound less accurate than the $500 SE535. (I should say that I am not doing critical mixing or stage monitoring with these, just casual listening, so for that a little extra bass is nice). Number two, there is a definite scoop on the SE215 in what I would call the mid-mids (maybe leaking slightly into the mid-highs). In this range the SE215s loose some definition and feel a little thin. I noticed this before doing my comparison and it was proven out when I listened to the SE535s. While these are noticeable traits and less than perfect, I don't think I'll ever feel bad about spending $100 for the SE215s. They have great isolation, great fit for me, and very enjoyable sound. Honestly I didn't even use the wedges that come in this package, the foam isolate pads that came on with the headphone fit perfect for me. If you want more reviews of the headphones make sure to check their main page by searching for Shure SE215-CL.

Excellent!
I bought this product because I wanted good quality sound isolating ear buds for running. And, boy, do they deliver. Yes, it takes some time to get use to them and yes, they feel awkward sometimes. But don't let that deter you. Pros: Best sounding ear buds I have ever tried. Good noise isolating capabilities (not the best but good enough) They held securely to your ears, even with a lot of movement (and sweat). If the cord hits something (i.e. your body while running), it doesn't transmit the sound to your ears Cons: The cord is a little long for what I need (easily handled) It does takes a while to get used to them (but it's worth it). Bottom line: highly recommended if you are looking for high quality, noise isolating and sports ready buds.

A great riding solution for hearing protection and full-range audio
I chose these earphones to provide both noise protection and improved audio while riding my sport-touring motorcycle. Despite my VERY quite helmets (6D ATS-1, Shoei MultiTech and Arai Corsair X). use of a Sena 20s with its in-helmet speakers had proven entirely unsatisfactory -- my earlier Cardo system fared even worse. The gain was substantially insufficient to overcome the effect of my Etymotic earplugs worn for hearing protection. Running the in-helmet speaker setup without any hearing protection was dangerous -- from the exposure of high sound pressure levels of riding (wind/road) combined with whatever the in-helmet speakers could provide. During a group outing, I noticed a rider whose helmet sprouted earplugs hanging from a cord. The a-ha moment came by removing the Sena's in-helmet speakers, and using its direct audio (headphone) output to drive a set of sound-isolating ear phones for both hearing protection and high quality audio. The Shure SE215-CL readily provided the magic sauce. With the triple seal (white) earpiece, the result was an eerily quite riding environment that simply blew away the sound I had ever experienced with ANY other setup. I now get good hearing protection and superior full-range audio - something in-helmet speakers could never provide and precisely what I've been looking for. I am also able to substantially reduce the volume from the Sena and truly enjoy music while remaining quite aware of the surrounding situation - an obvious must while riding. No doubt one can find other use cases where these earphones shine. Highly recommended.

Great In Ears for a Reasonable Price
I don’t have a ton of other options to compare to except for some cheaper $50 dollar in ears but here’s my take. I think these things are amazing for the price point. They stay in my ear and do a great job of isolating outside noise. I use them on stage but also with my e-kit to block out any noise except the digital sounds making it feel like I’m playing an actual drum set. If you’re thinking about it I would buy these over other ones on the market.

Shure SE215 - Lacks a high-end
I purchased the Shure SE 215 earphones after the price reduction. I also have a set of Klipsch X7, Klipsch Custom 1, Sennhieiser E8 (a very disappointing product) and other types of earphones. I know that these are not the top of the line product from Shure but I was surprised at the lack of high frequency. The specs hint at this with a top frequency of 17,000 Hz (full db ?). The weak high end isn't always a problem - depending on the type of music that is playing but if you like a good high-end; these earphones are not for you. I do think that the sound improved after a burn in period. The low end is good and tight if the earphones are worn properly. They are made well and the included case is good. I did purchase the 3 flange sound isolating tips too. Overall, They are OK at $99 but you can do better...a lot better for the price.

Great quality and long lasting
Great quality in in-ears and still going strong. If they gave out I would buy another pair.

Love these for motorcycle riding!
Love these for motorcycle riding! If you're the kind of person who wears earplugs and wants to listen to good music while riding a motorcycle, I recommend you check these out. Once you figure out the right sized foam plug for your ears and the correct way to wear them, these things are great. They work as well and are as comfortable as any earplug I have worn. Plus, the audio quality is great - even at high speed. If you're listening through an iPhone, like I do, using a equilizer/pre-amp app really helps the audio quality at highway speed. I am using an app called equalizer and love it.
