Review: Carbon Conductive Assembly Paste Review Information - This is the best product to use for any type of electrical connections, I used it in the sockets of some old outdoor light fixtures, the sockets have the old copper threads and kept corroding due to both moisture and the contact of the aluminum base of the bulb to the copper threads in the sockets. The bulbs would fail and the bases would sometimes get stuck and break off in the socket. This paste solved that problem by making the transition between the copper to aluminum contact also keeping moisture out and the socket lubricated. Good for both high and low voltages. Note: a very little goes a long way, it is very black in color and greasy and can be messy if not careful, After I cleaned out the sockets with a rotary tool with a small wire wheel to remove the crusty corrosion I applied it with a Q-tip on the threads and dabbed a little bit on the tongue in each socket. The viscosity is a heavy paste. (IE, lithium grease, tar, heavy silicone caulking, RTV gasket material, etc). THIS is what you need between connection points, then put dielectric grease on the outside of the finished connection to keep moisture away.
