Amazing. Characters’ feelings, thoughts, and emotions are captured while also capturing many details from the lion king movie (2019). Exactly as pictured, my kid likes it, and the way it was delivered was beautiful!

The author made some interesting changes, she added some stuff and left some stuff out but all in all a good read!

more emotional/relatable than the 2019 movie
Great read that feels like it was written by someone who genuinely loves The Lion King. Simba's, Nala's, Sarabi's and even Scar's feelings are expanded upon in a very interesting way, especially compared to the 2019 movie version. I'm not a fan of a lot of the story decisions (like cub Nala being rather timid and Timon and Pumbaa being bleak nihilists - "meaningless line of indifference"?) but this is not the author's fault, who did a great job making the material feel more relatable.

Beautiful descriptions...
Beautifully written. Definitely for KS2 children, this novelization gives a deeper picture to the story we all know so well. Incredibly descriptive, adventurous vocabulary; this could be a great bedtime read for younger children, an enjoyable read to challenge older children and a brilliant resource for teachers too.
