So watched some youtube videos of this product before purchasing. Had decent reviews. So I immediately wanted to try this once it was delivered. Followed the directions. Tried a small area just to see how it worked. Works as expected. I had swivel scratches and some other minor scratches. All removed or, at the very least, brought to a level where you would need to be looking for them to notice. I mean like focusing on that area and moving around different angles etc. Its not some miracle product. It does what it says it will do. Do NOT expect it to remove deep scratches. If anything, it may help them look better but scratches down to the metal..I mean come on..Lets be realistic. Not going to happen. I also made sure I washed the car, didn't have it in direct sunlight, and even clay bared the car before using product. All of this is mentioned in the directions btw. Will it work w/o doing that? I'm sure it will. But directions are directions for a reason, right? All in all a very good product and definitely made my day. Just bought the car and being able to fine tune the scratches and remove some all together just made the day!

I rarely write reviews for products purchased, let alone directly after using the product... But this stuff is AWESOME. I recently bought a used truck that is 5 years old. At the dealership, the truck was covered in dust. It looked like it hadn't been washed in a few weeks. The salesman said, "with the recent rains... the lots guy just hasn't gotten around to washing the truck". I thought nothing of it (because it was a great truck at a great price) and purchased the truck. The lot guy did eventually wash the truck, before I drove it home. When I got home, I was really disappointed in the condition of the exterior of the truck. There were many surface scratches and swirl marks all over the truck. More so than would be expected in a 5 year old vehicle. Repainting was out of the question. I got an estimate from a detailing company for replenishing the paint job, which would remove some of the scratches and swirl marks, but at the cost of around $3000.00. I thought that is as much as a new paint job, which was out of the question. I went to the auto parts store and purchased Turtle Wax's Scratch Remover... Tried it... and it failed miserably. Then I found "Carfidant's Black Car Scratch Remover - Ultimate Scratch and Swirl Remover for Black and Dark Paints on Amazon, while shopping for a solution. My truck color is "Magnetic Gray Metallic". This product did exactly what it says it does... The truck looks 100% better. It removed / hid / covered up... almost all of the scratches and swirl marks on the paint. You can barely see the deep scratches. I recommend this product whole heartedly. I will buy other products with the same brand name.

Garbage product. I ordered this after reading a few gushing 5 star reviews and I was so excited to get my 13 year old city car ("pearl black" Acura) looking just a little less beat up. Somewhere at some point it got an unsightly 2 sq foot area of scratches on the front fender that was really bugging me whenever I saw it parked next to other vehicles because it made me look like a bum, even though it's an otherwise good looking car and the design aged gracefully imo. Anyway, I tried using this product twice over the course of a couple weeks and it didn't work. When it first goes on, it appears to work perfectly, but then it just gets washed off in the rain. Essentially just lipstick for the car. Maybe it will work for you / your car's specific surface. I thought the directions were a little strange too, "Don't use in the sun." ??? Give me a break A few weeks later I happened to be at an Auto Zone where I found a $17 Dupli-color paint pen that claimed to be an exact match paint for my make and model. It came with a small scraper, paint and clearcoat; it took me several hours to meticulously apply directly to/over hundreds of scratches and gashes on my front bumper. Now a few weeks since, the dupli color scratch fill paint is still sticking and doing a great job at masking the white plastic bumper that was peeking through before. The scratches/repairs are unnoticeable from 8-10ft+ away, though very obvious if standing right next to it. Still, it's a big upgrade over having really obvious glaring white on black scratches, and I guess even given the sunken cost of $25 for this crappy little sponge thing and the $20 for the Autozone one, I managed to "mitigate" my scratch issue for $45 in the end. Not bad.

So first off, minus one star for inadequate packaging. It was sent to me in a bubble wrap mailer and in shipping it got squeezed and exploded inside of the bag. Picture included. Second minus one star for misleading product discription. This stuff hides scratches it does not remove them. That said this stuff is perfectly fine for a $20 product that mostly hides scratches. It gets rid of the highlights of the scratches making them far less visible. After following the instructions then giving it 24 hours I washed it and many of the scratches that were hidden are now visible again, just not as bright as they were. If you look at it straight on from 5 feet away you can't see them, but up close or at an angle there they are... So yeah, it's good enough for $20 and I would totally recommend, just don't expect scratch removal.

VERY SATISFIED!! I just recently bought a new truck which is larger than my previous truck was. Backing out of my garage I scrapped the side of my 2 week old truck leaving a couple scratches on my beautiful black paint. I immediately started looking for products to fix the scratches. I ordered this product the same day and just received it today. As soon as I got the package I went to the garage to hopefully fix my car. I cleaned the area with warm soapy water and dried it with a lint free towel and followed the instructions as written on the bottle, all the while praying it worked, especially since my husband was watching...at first I didn't notice any change and hubby told me to put some elbow grease in it (he was not helping at all) so I worked the product into the paint a little harder still following the circular motion and THE SCRATCHES DISSAPPEARED!! We were both pleasantly surprised by how quick the product worked and how easy it was to use. I got a "you did good babe" from the hubby and a high five for picking a good product, then he casually told me to put it somewhere I could get to it easily as he walked around the truck looking for more scratches. I would definitely recommend this product!! Thanks Carfidant for saving this girls ride!!!

Does not work as promised. Ok for regular polish of black paint but did nothing on any scratches of any size even faint ones. Also, there is a qr code for a link to special training instructions on product use. Thanks but I just want something you can rub on and polish. This is not it. There is no “body “ to it so it doesn’t fill grooves (scratches).

I used the product to wax over a paint spot and rock chip remover. It compliments my other product and restores the new look to my 2013 VW Beetle. You would have to see it to believe. Thanks again Carfidant. Nick sent me a bottle of Carfidant Ultimate Spray Wax sent to me free. This is my review. I just had to take time to tell you that I used the Ultimate Carfidant Spray wax just on the hood of my 2013 VW Beetle and will finish the rest of the car when the sun is not so hot. I was at the court house today on the 3rd floor and looked out of the window at my parked VW Beetle. That hood shined like a mirror and the rest of the car looked dull and I had used Turtle Wax on it prior to getting your product. I am amazed at how your product is so visibly noticeably different and superior to the traditional waxes that I have used in the past. I just wanted to thank you again for sending me the Carfidant Ultimate Spray Car Wax and even my wife noticed it this morning. She said that the hood of the VW looked like a brand new car with a new clear coat that they put on it at the dealership. Thanks again for the spray wax and if you have another free bottle lying around, I would appreciate your sending it my way as I have a friend who is a retired Federal Judge who is a car fanatic and I would like to give it to him to let him try it on his classic Corvette and one of his older Lincoln Continental Mark VIII sedans. Again, thanks for the wax and when I run out, I will most definitely buy another one from you on Amazon and if not one maybe two. It is worth it. The best car wax since the old $6.00 a tin in the 1960'd for what they called CADILLAC WAX. This is even better as I stripped all the old wax off the hood with concentrated Dawn Dish Washing Detergent. Man it makes the young girls look and the old girls squeal when they see me coming in that shiny 2013 VW Beetle Turbo Charged Fender Edition sound machine that is truly a classic in its own right.
