Bandai Hobby - One Piece - Grand Ship Collection Going Merry

I bought this as a gift. Just watched Merry’s last moments with a friend and wanted to keep Merry alive in our hearts. It was a lot smaller than I expected but I didn’t check what the size was when I bought it so that’s my bad. The stickers are tiny and hard to place without tweezers. I’d recommend putting the stickers on before putting it together since it can be awkward to place if you build it first. Overall the colors and shapes are right and it’s fun to build! I’d definitely recommend getting it whether it’s for yourself or for a gift.

Fairly easy to put together. The instructions are in Japanese but you just match the pictures. Learn from my mistakes and use scissors to detach the pieces from the plastic as some of the parts are extremely flimsy (i broke a couple pieces but remedied this with nail glue). I also used tweezers for the stickers. Overall it took a couple hours to put together and it was really fun. The end result is perfect and I’m happy to have Merry back to her full glory <3

Piece are delicate but it is pretty easy to assemble. Instructions are only in Japanese tho, but I love this product!!

Cute display! Instructions are in Japanese, but as long as you follow the symbols it's pretty easy. Only complaint is that one of the pieces didn't fit too well, but it was an easy fix. If your kid loves models like this, know they'll need a good pair of tweezers to get the stickers on properly. And know that it's a lot of small pieces. Including tiny accessory pieces such as the cannon and the anchor that stays disconnected from the ship. Project took me about 2 hrs to complete.

First of all I would like to say that if you do get this to please get crafting cutters. This will make it a lot easier along with some long bent tweezers. To help with the stickers. My husband said he did really enjoy it. The instructions were kinda weird and he ended up having to find a YouTube video to watch but then he got the hang of it. I did also get him the sunny but he hasn't started that yet.

I must admit that the picture is deceiving. I didn't read the size description before purchasing this so I was slightly disappointed in the size. However my teenage son absolutely loves it. He assembled it in a matter of minutes. I definitely recommend it!

Prior to assembly: For starters, this is a really tiny model. And I have found some spots that do seem worth painting due to the plastic being a single color on some frames. There are also some super tiny stickers that seem like you'd need tweezers to apply correctly. I dont know if I am going to go with this model due to the painting bit, cause I don't have any microscopic paint brushes for some bits (the doors, or the wood beam on the sail). I will update when I get it assembled or decide to return.
