I have tried sprays and they have not been effective. But - this is some EFFECTIVE stuff. Highly recommended.

I have a 69yo 30ft grapefruit that got sunburned bark peeling and resulting bark viral infection after a "arborist" did a butcher job of trimming. It was peeling badly. A second arborist told me it could not be saved. I only had two options: this wound tar, or cut down the tree. I peeled off most of the dead bark and painted the core wood with this tar. Then wrapped in burlap. After 1 months new bark is already growing around and over the wounds and the tree is sprouting new growth. I hope my tree is saved. I love the tree and really don't want to see it die. Hoping she makes it through our brutal summer. Thanks

Edit! Just got off the phone and they are sending me a brand new lid! I have used this one time, it is a good product and did the job well. But when I went to retrieve it to use it again, the lid was cracked. It was stored in an insulated shop that did not have extreme temperatures. The problem is the lid is attached to the brush to apply this product making it unusable.

The Treekote product worked well but I was sent what appeared to be a used bottle. It was only half full and the brush inside was stuck together in a lump so it was useless. I had to use a paint stirring stick to get the product out of the container. I like the product and I will continue to use it but I will look for it in a store instead of ordering online.

A bit hard to apply on a larger limb break but with patience did the job so far. found earwigs were seriously in the open damage so a bit of assistance cleared that problem.

Appears to seal tree "wounds" rapidly and completely!

Easy to use, over 900g in the bottle. Smells like bee wax, sticky to the new cuts.

Great product. My southland caragana split into three. I was able to mechanically join the three sections and then sealed everything up nicely with this product so it can heal. Time will tell but it seems to be working.

Ça semble très efficace mais je vais voir dans les années futur . Par contre ça mas pris du temps avant de le recevoir , mais fiabelemtn recu .
