First experience of salty licorice. Good salty start complimenting nice licorice flavor. Ammonium chloride comes through, but well balanced. I've found myself snacking on them over the last few days. Texture is chewy, but I enjoy sucking on them.

These are small pocket sized boxes of the Finnish salmiak hard licorice made with ammonium chloride. Each box has many of the little flavor bits. Salmiak flavor is an acquired European taste, but definitely grows on you! NOT similar to American soft candy licorice...

So good. Strong savory licorice taste with a salty hit. They're a little firmer, less chewy (gummy) than "candy" licorice, which i like. Definitely have an authentic licorice flavor. Great as a treat or as a mouth refresher in place of a mint or chewing gum.

Very good! This is probably the Salmiakki you remember. What I got was also soft, not so much so that they are not the typical tablets but more like they are fresh from the factory. Really nice having these. Maybe worth mentioning that I'm American, so I'm in no way a Salmiakki expert, but I've loved Fazer Salmiakki ever since a friend shared them years ago and I have to say these are the freshest I've had. Also as a note to other Americans or first-time buyers- if you haven't had these, they are not really sweet, and they are not a snacking snack- more of a slow-savoring thing. They are a salty licorice with just a bit of sweetness combined with licorice/anis flavor and a punch of ammonia which can be an acquired taste, but if you love it you love it- just know they are not like black Red Vines, or something.

This is delicious salty licorice. For me the salt level is perfect and the ammonia taste is also there. Some people don't like the ammonia taste, but to me it's not salty licorice without that. Would definitely buy this brand again.

My introduction to salmiakki in general was Tyrkisk Peber, so that's my standard for all salty licorice. I've tried other salty licorice that, sure, is salty, but it doesn't have the same salmiak bite to it. These do! I wasn't sure how these would be, so four boxes seemed like a lot, but now I wonder why they sell these in such tiny boxes. It would make more sense to make one 120-g box; these salmiakki candies are delicious enough for it. :) It's definitely hard to eat just one. I'm sure I will get these again. I heartily recommend!

The taste is not as potent as I was expecting. They taste good, don't get me wrong, but they are not quite as salty as I had been led to believe. The only real issue is the pieces are pretty small for gummies and it makes them hard to eat and chew.

best salmiakki on the planet, bought it several times to give boxes to friends and family because it's so good. would give it 6 stars if i could
