Nothing Like the Holidays

One of my favorite holiday movies. However, Amazon has done a lot of things right but one thing they have never figured out is how to stream. It is always constant buffering and freezing. I have pretty awesome internet but even that is not enough

Another stupid xmas movie that's more about hate and bickering. I've tried to watch this twice, and I can't get past all the hate. I know that it will change at the end, but even my dysfunctional family never had this much hatred at our xmas gatherings.

Growing up Boricua this has become one of my favorite holiday movies . I can relate to every part of this movie and it's great to see the culture represented.

This is the funnest movie I have seen in a long time. The characters are great, the movie has a great cast and it keeps you laughing. I have bought a copy for a friend and she has not stopped laughing. Is there a number 2 in production?

Although each culture has specific customs and traditions, everyone can relate to family. This story about a Puerto Rican family is set during Christmas, and it's about love and relationships, as well as the complexities that can evolve. It's about growing and understanding each other. It's about reconciliations, misfortunes, and the need to move on sometimes. It's realistic. I highly recommend this movie to anyone that loves family, Christmas, and learning about LatinX cultures.

This is the best Christmas Movie for the Holidays. If you are either old school, Hispanic, In a interracial relationship with a Hispanic among so many other things...You will crack up right along with this movie as if you have lived through some of the craziness/real life stuff that happens in this movie. You can also relate to having your own life and then going back home to visit family or even deciding to stay home again and feeling that anxiety of 'the past is the past' feeling and maybe wanting to stay yet at the same time you 'can't wait to get back home' as well. What's good is the movie does end and you are back in your own life...and if you want you can play the movie again and again to take you back. lol.

Let me guess-liberal cannot even make a Christmas movie-without vulgar language? I will pass

I could Bebe say enough about this movie. Great culture, great actors, hilarious and wonderful plot and ending. I'm part Puerto Rican so I maybe a tad biased, but all in all a great family Christmas movie!

A charming and warm, feel good family christmas drama. Nothing Like The Holidays is an entertaining exploration of the bonds of a tightly knit Puerto Rican family living in Chicago. The ensemble is superb, of particular note for their standout performances are Luis Guzman, and Freddy Rodriguez in the role of Jesse. Rodriguez portrays with sensitively and realism the emotions of a solider returning home from Iraq. Like you'd expect, there are tear-jerking moments but also plenty of laughs. All in all an enjoyable christmas movie.

Da ich den Film nun doch erst NACH Weihnachten anschauen konnte, betrachtete ich ihn etwas distanzierter. Klar, auch ich hatte Weihnachtsstimmung erhofft. Aber wer Chicago mag, wo er spielt, der wird ihn mögen.Allein Bilder vom Lake Michigan und der winterlichen Stadt-Atmosphäre lohnen dann vielleicht schon den Film anzusehen.Wer sich nicht vor Dialogwitzen scheut und der Story konzentriert beiwohnt, auch dem wird der Film sicher gefallen.Die Schauspieler sind KLASSE (allein Luiz Guzman, etc)! Na ja, ich würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen! Ein Film mit Stimmung! Vielleicht aber nicht für jeden!Als romantischer Weihnachtsfilm, ist er ja auch nicht angelegt. Aber man, wie auch ich, man kann ihn mögen!Daher 4 Sterne, gerne! :-)

Der Film ist nicht der schlechterste aber hat auch keine wirklichen Höhepunkte.Nette Unterhaltung & sympathische Schauspieler in einem durchschnittlichen Filmden man sich gerne ansehen kann, aber es gibt bessere Weihnachtsfilme.
