Works
Works good. Definitely helps when you need to add just a little more powder.

Reloader must have
Bought this for my Shotshell reloading. Most people won't get this precise for shotshell reloading, but when I'm going out to a match I want the most consistent loads I can get. I load out my shells to the exact grain of powder and OZ of shot.

Simple is better
This powder trickle was just what i needed. I measure each powder charge and was constantly adding and removing powder to dial in the right amount, now i get it close and with a couple of turns i get the exact charge i need. The device is very light and could knock over,so i took some epoxy putty and placed it in the base and pushed an extra 3/4" socket i had into the putty to give it extra weight. I had to add some height so the tube didnt interfere with the powder cup on the scale. I used one of those furniture glides, the one with the felt and black rubber,i seperated the felt from rubber and glued the rubber portion to the base and trimmed. I know its a little ghetto, but its what i had available and it works great.

It's a good trickler, albeit a bit light in weight (it's plastic). Well made tho. Want it heavier? Read the review.
Why do people bash this? It's super cheap and it works perfectly. Sure it's not heavy so you need to use two hands, I have a solution for that folks if you are interested. You will need some superglue and some sand or iron filings. Either will work. Here is how you do it: CLEAN it, take it apart (one whole O ring and pull) and clean it with dish detergent inside and out. No need to scrub. Wipe it out with a paper towel. Now turn it upside down and get a scotchbrite pad and scuff up the inside a bit, just make some marks no need to go crazy here you just want to key the surface up a bit. Drip a few drops of super glue in there and sprinkle a bit of DRY sand or iron filings in there. You can get the iron from your local auto repair place from where they machine rotors and drums. Now drip some on the dry sand/iron, add more. Repeat. This will all stick to itself via the super glue, and will also stick to the sides. I suggest you start out getting some stuck to the sides first, from there it's fast. To finish up I glued a disc of rubber pad to the bottom. Now it weighs and after reassembly it stays put, no need to steady the thing. All that being said, I used it several times and really it was usable the way it was, I just wanted less chance of tipping it over because I am a clutz and my loading table is a bit cramped.

Did its job well, trickles just fine
As other reviewers have noted, there was only a single rubber grommet so the tube moved back and forth. But as far as I can tell, that is the way it's designed. The tolerances are tight enough that no powder is going to slip by and ooze out around the trickle tube. Plus it allows the supply hole in the tube to pull powder from more than just one spot in the well. Or, you can do what I did and simply push the grommet up tight to the base and use the rubber handle on the opposite end as the other 'grommet' One other issue which others have also brought up, is it's very very light and moves way to easily. I simple took a bunch of old lead bullets I picked up at the range and put them in a plastic bag and taped it inside the base of the tower. No more sliding around. You could also use sand, lead shot, etc.

For my weird application, the light weight was a positive, even though it's usually a major deficit.
Usually, lightweight is the last thing you'd want in a powder trickler. It should be heavy enough to sit on the reloading bench and be operated with one hand without moving on the bench. So why did I rate the lightweight Hornady five stars? Because, for my application, it's a five star product. I put together a very minimalist range reloading kit for developing WAY off the load chart ammunition at the shooting range and I didn't want to lug a heavy powder trickler. This small and very lightweight powder trickler was perfect for my use, and the dispensing action is smooth. At my home reloading bench, I mostly use the RCBS ChargeMaster 1500 automated powder dispenser. I had a very nice Redding powder trickler (a heavyweight champ) but gave it to a reloading friend because I almost never used it, but then I bought a Frankfort Arsenal trickler as a not-as-nice but even heavier replacement. For home use, I'd get the Redding if you can find it.

good product just a little hard to use
The tickler works ok but its so light that it is really hard to use one handed if it weighed more it would be stable enough to use one handed. It takes two hands to use one to hold the base securely and the second to operate the tickler.

L'objet correspond tout a fait a l'usage auquel je le destinais. Il est seulement un peu léger pour tenir en place lors de son utilisation. J'ai amélioré ce problème en plaçant quelques plombs collants a l'intérieur de l'égreneur.
